Recovery, what recovery?

I aint no fan of labour, but you can't blame or accuse them of causing a global recession

Your comments about the poles, I worked on building sites doing skilled work, then alongside a few poles (that I liked and got on really well with) who were claiming housing benefit and jobseakers getting paid cash in hand half as much I was getting paid. I had a mortgage and tax to pay. Wages I was offered started to drop and were soon the same rate as they were on. It got to the point where it just wasn't worth it any more so I gave it up.

So you were able to work but not willing?

No, never out of work, just a change of jobs, day rates on sites meant it wasn't worth it anymore, work in the motor industry now for more money than I was towards the end of my sitework but less than I used to earn say 6 or 7 years ago

Looks to me like it was black economy labour (cash in hand while claiming benefits) that was doing the damage, not immigration. Don't let that put you off though.

They can go on about the 'recovery' all they want but until real jobs are made and people who put a hard graft in actually see something for their labours then it means nothing to the ordinary working man and woman.

I don't blame anyone for wanting a better life, I'm hopimg myself to move to norway in a few years for a better standard of living, wages are higher there and I'm sure I'd work for a lower wage than a norwegian to ensure employment and still be on more than I am here and have a better standard of living. Don't want to have a rant, but the influx of immigrants doing skilled work for less money has lowered wages for lots of tradesmen meaning a lot of the jobs that used to be good money are now minimum wage or just above. Class 1 drivers used to earn good money, now its 8quid an hour for example.

I have a question for the loony left.
when labour were in and we were on our fucking knees they didn't take responsablity for the recession, citing its global and in real terms (pmsl) we were doing ok compared to other economies.

now the tories are in all ills are down entirely to them.

why is that?

Because "new-labour" are not a left wing party?

And the escalation between the "have's and the have-not's" has escalated to a scandalous extent under the current "thatcher on speed" condem alliance.

Glad you asked.

The bankers and the Tories are all one and the same, along with all the other fat cats who trouser the wealth, property and means of production when recession bites, who then squeeze the workers until the pips squeek to pay off the so called debts we've apparently run up.

So to blame the Tories and the bankers is perfectly logical, and so I expect you to vote anyone but Conservative next time round.
