Red Cafe in meltdown

This **** clearly want's us to gloss over the 90's when they had the PL on a string and the Piscan got away with fucking murder.
And,let's not forget the managers who blatantly picked a weakened team away at old Trafford in the 90s..on the basis that they were unlikely to win
Mick McCarthy at Wolves was one, there were others... And they admitted doing it!
Talk about handing them titles on a plate.

Amazing what a nice bottle of wine used to buy you in the 90's.

Oh, he definitely was a sycophant, but they certainly didn't have to throw their games against the Rag's.
I'll take your word on that...but I always thought there were 3 teams who waved the white flag
Every time they played at old Trafford, for a number of seasons, deep back in the Fergie glory days.
Compare and contrast now where bottom of the table teams arrive at the Etihad and play as though their lives depended on it....as they should do ,as professional footballers.
And if anyone doubts this weakened team at old Trafford thing existed....there is video footage somewhere of Wolves manager Mick McCarthy ..admitting it.

Stoke were just shit. QPR, possibly, Wolves definitely.
Remember Denis Bailey's hattrick for QPR in a 4-1 win at OT on Ferguson's 50th Birthday.

Also remember one year when Newcastle went to OT on the opening day and lost quite easily (2nil i think). Bobby Robson in his post match presser said their season starts here. I thought no it started 2 hours ago you 2hat.

I watched that QPR game with my 6 month old son on my lap.....well he was for most of the game, one of the goals he almost hit the ceiling as I jumped up celebrating.

The Dennis Bailey hat trick is a great memory
Oh how we laughed!
Got me thinking about Paulo Wanchopes debut for Derby county at the swamp...and that goal
Brilliant goal ! Stuck it in the stretford end after dribbling round about 6 players on a mazy run from his own half.

Wasn't that on boxing day traditionally when clubs got one of the highest attendances they claimed about 30k attendance but on TV looked nothing like that high

Your probably right about boxing day, which makes me feel I rejoiced Dennis has done it
even more cos it was Xmas.
Beqs the question.,...who did we play on boxing day? Were we in the old 2nd div
I can't remember withoutlooking

I’ve just done a bit of research.

Bailey scored his hat-trick at the swamp on 1st January 1992, so the last season, before football was invented.

We were definitely in the 1st division that season, as we beat dirty Leeds 4-0, while they were on their way to the title.

We drew 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

I'll have little friendly bet with you now, ie nothing, that he will be seen standing arms in the air moaning about something. Right mardarse.
I think it was he who , in our ignominious defeat at Wolves a couple of years ago , threw himself to the ground in a tantrum worthy of my two year old son when he didn't get what he wanted ..the game where Nunez got hauled at half time and Philips was doing an impersonation of a defensive mid gone missing .

You could get 4 for the price of one!!

I used to work with the giy second from the left - Ceri Richards, used to tell some goodstories.

Linoed his last game at Old Trafford, was responsible for giving them a penalty v QPR which never in a million years should have been given - not selected for any games after that.
