So, what does that make us in the Top 5 leagues average attendance stakes? Well using the 52391 means we are 18th just above Newcastle.

Actually pretty good, because, like Newcastle, we are butting up against the Stadium capacity with our average attendance.
All the teams above us have higher capacities, so you would hope that their average attendance was higher!
Ie there’s no way we could get a better average attendance, unless we fiddled the figures, as per our neighbours in Trafford…

Well, before we laugh out loud, I can say it’s likely due to missing numbers of attendances in 2 matches, but still dividing by the total matches played.

I’d say a similar thing has happened to the nonsense figure of our average attendance on the original transfermarkt link (that the Trafford idiot posted). I think the al-hilal friendly and/or the Brentford LC match crowd has been used to get a much lower average, or they have simply missed off a match attendance , but still included the match (with zero attendance) in the average calculation.

Anyway tldr;
1. Don’t just believe figures on a website, check.
2. Don’t ever take a Trafford fan’s thoughts as gospel.
3. Make sure you understand the correlation between capacity and attendance.
