Red Cafe in meltdown

Ferguson the great socialist who took over 2 million a year out of a club that paid off the commen man in the 100's.
****.
When he was manager his "image rights" were held in a Company with himself and his wife kathy as Co Directors.

He charged the club £4 million a year for the use of these rights

I am sure there are some errors in this but it sums up what has been coming - over a decade ago we were posting "tick tock" on here and it looks like its its reached 11;59pm for them

This is a really good video, unlike one posted earlier in the thread, which scoffed at Scruffy Jim's claim that united would have run out of cash by Xmas. This one explains the cashflow situation clearly and shows that they're only propping up that cashflow by borrowing, which I've been saying for a while.

If you run out of cash, you can't pay wages, debt interest, suppliers or the instalments on transfers. It's only the money Scruffy has put in that's kept them afloat, otherwise they would have been in serious financial trouble. But he's paid for all his shares now so there's no more where that came from.

Don't read it very much but following this thread I thought I'd take a look.
In all honesty most are just bemoaning their fall. But there is a bit of truly delusional stuff.
I read this pearl.

''Alex Ferguson was always the father figure and mentor I always wanted and thought I deserved, and his embodiment of leadership, values and ethics have been a guiding light in my own personal development.''

What is this guy like? Does he turn to Putin for an embodiment of compassion or Trump for an embodiment of honesty?
....well, yes, he obviously does ;)

No wonder he wants the tax payer to foot the bill for a new stadium. Plenty of scope for inflating costs if he could get away with that.

It's going to be another £50 million claimed for sticking a shovel in the ground.

What the saddo's at Ragcafe don't get is, this financial downfall has been coming for a long time.
It has been hard to figure out how they have kept spending year after year, making disastrous decision after disastrous decision. Every year i felt they were in the shit, they somehow managed to pull something out of the bag. (financially and on field)
Then a large portion of the debt disappeared (around £200-300 million). No one has commented where it went. So the debt now reported is the original debt, the new loans and money owed to other clubs. The missing debt is still somewhere.

I feel that they have been operating under the illusion that they are "to big to fail". And that spending their way out of trouble is the best solution. Ed Woodward, once stated that success on the field didn't affect United off the field financially.
Well he was wrong.
Yes, one or two bad seasons wouldn't really affect them. But is now over a decade without major successes.
My children don't see United as anything other than a struggling mid table club. More importantly so do their friends.

What is happening is no surprise when you live beyond your means and make bad financial/onfield decisions. The exact thing FFP/PSR was supposed to prevent. Big questions need answering by th PL and the FA, as to how this was allowed to happen.
MAYBE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME PURSUING CERTAIN OTHER CLUBS?

United are set to implode. We will now see in real time how the authorities bend over backwards to help them.
It will be corruption in action for all to see...

A nice little equity float to insiders and they’re in clover again. Question is whether the dilution is worth it to create the reinvestment needed for those in control.

Billionaires tend to be fairly good at financial engineering!

Footnote from the Scums accounts; they truly have turned that corner and are on the road to ruin.

“We are currently in active discussions with UK tax authorities over a number of tax areas in relation to arrangements with players and players’ representatives"

I've heard it's a very significant sum, well in the tens of millions.

They'll get bought out by the Saudis and there will be an almighty cover up of the debt. Too big to fail.
