There are plenty of sources if you search that suggest it's over £1bn but it depends on what you mean by 'taken out'.

That figure is likely to cover things like interest payments (which don't go into their pockets) and share sales (which will go into their pockets but from external investors and not from the club).

The main cash flowing out from the club directly to them are dividends, which probably total £160m+ over their tenure. They made a lot money when the shares floated on the NYSE in 2012 and some of the siblings have sold shares since. They sold shares to Scruffy Jim last year and that probably brought in $900m, as I said.

They've probably also taken some sort of management/consultancy fees but we don't know what these are as they're buried in operating costs. There was nothing in the Related Party Transactions note in the last accounts to suggest this though.

Interestingly, when they produced documentation regarding the share sale to interested investors, including Sheikh Jassim, they stated that they expected revenues to hit £1bn by the end of the 2027 financial year. If they carry on next season as they did this season, and miss out on European football completely, they'll be lucky to report half that in the 2026/27 FY.

Maybe there is a good player in there, but in Antony's case, he was too lightweight for the PL. You can have all the tricks and spins in the world, but when you can be brushed off the ball by someone bigger and stronger, then you are always in a men against boys scenario. I always felt that about Jesus Navas. When he was running with the wind in his sails, he had it all, but in a scrap or up against someone man marking him, he was on the floor most of the time. You have to be a physical specimen to survive the PL.
 
Was talking to a chap this morning who went to Bilboa.

Apparently, after the game there was no transportation to take people to their accommodation. Because every Hotel in the City was booked out months in advance, tens of thousands had booked accommodation 15 or 20 miles away. And we are not talking a few quid. They paid up to a grand for it.

After the final there were no taxi's or buses put on. So apparently there were thousands upon thousands of supporters from both clubs, just sat in the bus and train stations. Some had to kip in a multi storey car park, because the station staff had to stop people coming in. It was also pissing it down.

Sounds quite a lot like some of the experiences from Istanbul.

Uefa never fail to disappoint me.

He's exactly the same as all their many previous "young and exciting" forwards, just a run fast and blast it towards goal merchant.

As soon as his very limited footballing ability is found out he'll fade into obscurity and mediocrity just like all the previous ones have.

As you say, whenever he gets to start games and actually has to play a role in the team rather than just be as selfish as he likes against tired opposition he looks useless.
 
Rumours that Fernandes has been offered a £200m contract in Saudi Arabia.

If he takes that it’s genuinely possible they get relegated next season.

Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds will be much closer to the pack than Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester were, and if Amorim doesn’t start the season well they’ll spiral downwards again.

They weren’t quite as bad as their finishing position made out, but United still have enough cache among players that opposition teams will pile on if they think there’s a chance, we’ve seen that over the last 5 years plenty.

No. Amorim told us the good times were just around the corner. They just need to turn it to challenge for the top half.

You have to start at the point of giving a shit about fans which they dont.

Made me laugh when the ESL was in full swing and these twats were held up as some kind of bastion of the game.

It's why I hate the CL.... of course I always want City to win every game but the CL is bottom of my list of preferences.

League, FA Cup, League Cup, Charity shield, UEFA sponsored cups.
