Red Star Belgrade away.

Utter bollocks, especially the last paragraph

My hotel is only 100 yards away and once the Police cars arrived, the locals ran off,.and anyone who wanted to leave (myself included) calmly left the scene.
The object was thrown from the outside,.and only just missed a young Irish family, the youngest of whom was around 12 years old.
No debate whatsoever

As for the fight, there must have been around a dozen women and kids (plus a few locals) in the pub, and it only got physical,.because one well known City "character" had heard enough from the gobby masked coward
There were 40/50 people held in while the forensics photographed the scene. That is a fact and if you want to say otherwise, go ahead.

The policeman stood on the doorway not allowing anybody to leave. The policewoman took the hotel names and addresses of where the remaining people were staying. At approximately 12 midnight, we were allowed to leave.

That’s a fact. Not “utter bollox”. Just because you got out OK before the hold back, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Following discussions with the local police, we have arranged coaches so all our fans can safely travel to and from the match. We strongly advise that all our fans use this mode of transportation for their own safety.

  • The free coaches will depart from Student Square at 3:30pm (local time) and have a police escort to and from the Rajko Mitic Stadium.
  • There is enough space for all ticketholders to access these coaches.
  • These coaches will return to Student Square after the match concludes. Please note, local police have advised fans may be held back for up to 90 minutes with a minimum of a 30-minute hold back. Toilets, food and drinks will be available during this time.

Once again, we strongly advise that all fans use this mode of travel for tonight’s match.

Local police have also advised that fans stay in small groups and avoid being separated where possible. They also recommend that fans avoid displaying club colours or branding whilst in Belgrade.

Bloody ridiculous, stay safe all your loyal blue legends that have made the trip out there!!
It simply shouldn't be like this when you are simply attending an away game in Europe to watch your beloved club play, the cowardly thugs (masked up fckers!) should be strung up IMO!
Will UEFA do anything about this, will they fcuk!!
Ban the club from competing in Europe if they cannot guarantee our fans safety!!

I’ve been all over Eastern Europe and police over there can be a law to themselves. Passively resist any provocation and be compliant.

Club rivalry can be far more intense and City are a huge draw over there. Without wishing to be disrespectful to Red Star, our players will add to the attendance tonight.

Tbf these are the same with most European aways

I only ever managed Sevilla and we were targeted over there. Spanish media had reported we were responsible for an attack in Manchester whereas it was Slask Wroclaw fans with a long term rivalry.

I’d ideally do one of the German clubs. Base myself in Düsseldorf.

would have to disagree - i've been to the likes of madrid lisbon paris copenhagen dortmund munich, and never experienced anything like that. I appreciate italian ones are similar to what blues are experiencing out in belgrade, but I wouldn't go to any of them for that very reason. takes all the fun out of it

What would these wankers be like if the match actually meant something for them and then we beat them!!??

Does anyone know if the buses the club have organised will be leaving at different intervals or do we have to be there for half 3 ?

Really pissed off with how certain teams/countries are tolerated in fact almost excused for their behaviour and then glorified as fanatical support by our pathetic media who are well versed in such practices having watched them develop the “blue print” with all things associated with Liverpool. If we ever have to play such teams like Red Star, Napoli, AC Milan and the likes then we should not be so accommodating in the home legs, could start by GMP declaring the ritual gathering and march to the Etihad as a potential public order issue and not allow it.

Yeah bit baffling that, no way I’m making it for 3.30! Is it not safe just using a taxi app to the stadium at like 4?
