What an absolute twat that referee was tonight,hope we never get him again,he was terrible.

There have been some bad ones but this took this award for prick of the season

Bad foul from Downing ( i think) on clichy after 15 mins no foul.

2 challenges from Adam that stop the game, but gets no card. Supposedly a final warning as he call over skertl to tell the Scottish player in English final warning.

Adam makes another foul start of second half no booking

Blatant handball in area

Barry gets booked for his first challenge no different to 2 of Adams but definitely not as bad downings

Barry sent off for a challenge that on another day could quite easily not have been a booking. But you could almost see the stiffy as the card came out.

Gives city penalty has 2 choices either sending off for denying a goal scoring chance, or like Barry's 2nd booking a yellow if player was moving away from goal. He gives nothing.

I just can't understand the inconsistency, that is what makes it do frustrating

The way he tried to ref the game, apart from the pen which I was surprised he gave, you could be forgiven for thinking he had a hospitality box at Anfield. The reffing honestly gets worse. How Charlie wasn't booked, let alone sent off, why it wasn't a pen when Skrtl played netball, why Barry was the hapless recipient of two yellows, and every time we made a tackle The Dippers get a free kick, is beyond any effort to comprehend. Dzeko was fouled constantly by Skrtl - and the more he got away with it, the more he ratcheted it up.

Marriner got dropped 'cos he didn't send off FatFrank, so we get a useless piece of horse manure, ill-equipped for the rigours of reffing a PL match. I've seen much better on Hough End.

2 yellows for 2 barges from barry, didnt even get a warning for his first one, straight yellow. How the fuck did Adam get away with 60 minutes of football, or should i say rugby by his shit standards and not get a single yellow.

Its starting to show now, what alot of posters are saying on here. Our players commit a foul, be it a bad one or not and we get no warnings, straight yellow, but the opposition get away with it.

Adam your a dirty ****, and so is Carroll. Jones your a complete fuckwit.

I hope that 3-0 bumming they got tonight hurts.

I honestly think one of the reasons for this is that we are very polite as a team. We don't pressurise refs we don't question every decision.

5live and talkshite going in about bobby waving an imaginary card and how disrespectful this is, for fucks sake take a look at Adam and Spearing in the refs face every time. All bobby was asking was you have just sent my man off where is the card for the guy giving away the penalty

That elbow by carroll on vinnie was a c--ts trick, both officials seen it but turned a blind eye, skirtle has been kicking city players since he got away with the jo king foo kick, he couldn't handle dzeko because the more he kicked him the more mobile he got. Adam got away with murder pub team footballer at most.

Watched the game on the telebox, the ref made some shockers, mostly against City. Really City should have had 2 pens (including the one given despite Alan Smith and his incredible strange punditary) , Skertal over the match should have got a red, even if not for the pen, and could have accepted the Barry red if other players, like Adam and Skertal had been treated as harshly.

He missed two clear penalties tonight. One for Skrtel's clear handball, which the Sky commentator said he could do nothing about even though his arm was horizontal when the ball hit it; and one for Skrtel's pulling Kompany's shirt when he headed the ball just before Yaya scored.
Barry's sending off was a joke; two challenges that were barely fouls never mind yellows.
