Ref for Wolves.

i found this interesting.
i found it interesting as well and the other sites at the bottom of the page. footballsfixed etc. Its about time all the other clubs got together and pointed out what is going on. If we dont we will get royally fucked year in and year out. The arse fans idea of having a particular ref no more than twice in a year in the league is a really good one, not perfect but better than it is at the moment.

If we can't deal with Wolves, even with the ref as their 12th man, we don't deserve to be anywhere near the top.

i found this interesting.

Especially these bits ..................
The same goes the other way round. Manchester United having the same ref 5 times in a season (who for the sake of a name we will call Webb) could bring them 15 points and at least a couple of highly debatable penalties in their favour.

It would also mean that there is always a cool down period when a ref has had a bad game. In fact they could appoint the refs even before the fixture list is made up. They could appoint and I just take an example Ref Dowd for the first Arsenal game at home and then he only will come back for the 20th game away from home. So even if he would screw us like he did at Newcastle last season it would take almost half a year before you face him again. By then any dust flying around will have settled. Now I remember we had him again just a few weeks after the Newcastle game.

A bit like when Marinner last season did the Chelsea- Man United game and SAF was very angry about his game. And so they gave him a cool down period of about one year of no Man United games. Funny how we never seem to have had such a cool down period when Dean or Webb came to our fields and screwed us over?

But with the system I present all this would not be possible. And each ref would only pay one visit to Old Trafford in a year. Or the Emirates. Or any other PL stadium. And would see their players and manager back after a few months only.

I think the idea of having each ref have two matches a season makes sense...better yet have referees from all around Europe

The only refs that I actually like are Clattenburg, Friend, Atkinson and Oliver's average.

I would like to think a ref couldn't stop us beating a team who are 20th and bound to be relegated

So would I, CR, but this is Lee 'I've left me cards in the car' Mason, unless yer sporting the sky blue and then we'll have yer off this pitch pretty bloody quick! Yet another floundering in an area which just epitomises his incompetence.

I must say that the offical web site are bigging up this appointment for Sunday.
Can anyone remember the 1st time Mr. Mason got in our bad books ?

We've not had Mark Halsey or Lee Probert ONCE in the Prem this season. Yet we get Dowd, Mason, Webb, Atkinson, Foy and Clattenburg all the time. Why is this? How can we go all season without having certain refs yet get certain others (that seem to take great delight in screwing us) on a regular basis?!?

Halsey and Probert have reffed us in the past (Probert in the CC game @ Arsenal where he did well) so it's not due to them being City fans or anything.

Thank fuck for that. He's the fucking worst one. Has given us nothing since 1999

Look at the Arsenal away game. Yaya tugs a shirt and is QUITE RIGHTLY shown a yellow, even though it was his first offense
Arsenal player commits a professional foul on Yaya (which put him out of the game as well) and the player is not even spoken to
songs tackle was an accidental, careless trip, he went for the ball and missed it, not, in my opinion worthy of a yellow card
Apologies if I've misattributed the quotes, and for dragging this up 3 pages later, but I saw that exactly as TPP did at the time.

I had already thought Balotelli deserved a red, until I saw the replay, then I wasn't quite so sure it was as bad as it looked from the first angle behind Balo - from the replay behind Song, it looked like he took the ball and barely made contact with the man, but I can see why Song might be a bit annoyed.

The replay confirmed to me that Song then took Yaya clean out with his knee. That was to my mind an entirely intentional and petulant insult to the ref's intelligence, and it worked out quite well as Yaya went off. It was, at the very least, such a clumsy tackle that it deserved a yellow card. I was furious.

Any knee-first challenge should be a straight red. Fair enough if you barge someone off the ball with your hip, there's only so much damage you can do, but your knee is like a massive blunt elbow when used as a weapon, and it can do serious damage to your opponent, as we saw.

So let me get this straight, if you try to get the ball, but put your stoods through someone's knee, then that's ok?
Balotelli didn't do that though, did he, he actually got the ball then caught Song with the side of his boot, but hardly went "through his knee" with his "studs". Certainly a free kick at best, red card only if you're being incredibly harsh or didn't see him win the ball, I was personally expecting a yellow just for the fact his foot was a bit high (see above re: knees) and would also have expected the same punishment for his so-called "stamp" on Parker. (And, for that matter, I think any little petulant kick like that should be a yellow... sending a player off for angrily tapping an opponent on the leg with your foot is just plainly ridiculous. Not sending a player off for elbowing someone in the face equally so)
