Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Booked James and Sterling for kicking the ball away. Will be keeping a sharp eye on whether that continues on Sunday
Luis Dias did that when we played Liverpool, seen it a few times with no yellow in the last few games so I think that rule lasted the first fee weeks of the season then disappeared as everyone predicted.

Harry Maguire launched the ball sixty yards away right in front of the referee at Old Toilet with no sanction. What I'm saying is, Hooper should apply the rule on Sunday as he did at St James' or questions should be asked.

Don't think we can have any complaints over our officials last night (unlike poor Newcastle) as Dias was very lucky not to get a 2nd yellow just before half-time. 2 goals down and a man light there's no chance of us coming back in that game.

Talking of the Newcastle game, I see that UEFA have stood down the VAR official.
VAR official was stood down by UEFA because he didn't recommend a review of a foul by Newcastle which should have been a penalty to Paris much earlier, not the handball penalty according to TNT Sports highlights on Wednesday
