Onfield ref didn’t see it.Forget VAR for a moment (although they had a prefect view to give a red) why didn't the ref give at least a yellow? Did he miss it completely?
Here comes the wum…Onfield ref didn’t see it.
VAR can’t suggest ‘only’ a yellow and it was an orange card so if the VAR decides not quite a red it becomes nothing, which feels like a miss in the rules.
Respectfully it says more about you that pointing out the rules as opposed to the donning of tinfoil triggers you so much. Here comes the wum…
Football has never had rules, but it has always had laws.…Respectfully it says more about you that pointing out the rules as opposed to the donning of tinfoil triggers you so much.
Problem was, VAR can't give yellows can it? So once the ref 'missed' giving anything, it was only ever going to be a red or nowtIt was never going to get given as a red. Not a clear enough angle on where the contact was and didn't look high enough on the leg for an overturn.
Scandalous there was no booking for it, mind
City have been far and away the best team in the league for a long time, but the PL want an 'exiting' competition, and that means 'a new name on the trophy every few years' (Scudamore's infamous 'strategic plan' speech).Yet Gillett on VAR who you say is part of a campaign to stop City winning the league reffed City’s title rivals Arsenal last night, didn’t give a penalty to Jesus that wouldn’t have been overturned if he had and immediately ruled out Havertz goal for handball.
Seems like he forgot his orders last night?!
