Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Wasn’t putting you in any extreme, just wondering what those other ways of manipulating clubs positions might be.
Targeting our midfield play maker by dishing out yellow cards for offences that REGULARLY go unpunished for other teams is certainly one way of doing it.

His comments were clearly for the benefit of teams outside of the usual top six, as in an “anyone could do a Leicester” at the time. They didn’t actually have any plan to do what he said he wanted to as it would require rewriting the whole distribution of wealth within the game. Instead they chose to cement it through the implementation of the financial rules.

Personally I wouldn’t have been averse to it but people read way too much into what he said.
If he says it publicly then people are allowed to interpret it as they see it

Have you? You are by miles the most stubborn, obtuse, disagreeable, self righteous poster in here
Thanks. High praise indeed.

If someone proves my thinking to be wrong, I’ll happily say sorry and say I was wrong. It happens pretty frequently.

I’m not going to get personal with people as it isn’t appropriate nor helpful.

Those who think that football in this country is fair, that the likes of scum and dippers don’t have the ability to manipulate things in their favour, that the likes of David gill aren’t able to cause things to happen that benefit their own clubs, well they might be right, or they might be very fucking naive indeed

I’m not being personal as such, just saying it as I see it, in response to your comment to kaz7. Not rude just my honest view x
