But, he and VAR, not to give the most clear and obvious red card for the leg breaking assault on Phil is incompetent to say the least. Brown got through that game without even a yellow card, staggering

Disgraceful to not give a red card for a guy JUMPING in to a tackle witn two feet, studs showing and actually caught Fodens calf. Could easily have broken his leg if it was planted.

Forget VAR for a moment (although they had a prefect view to give a red) why didn't the ref give at least a yellow? Did he miss it completely?

No “clear and obvious error” something they hide behind It’s the same vein as wouldn’t over rule it if had been given,when it’s not given. I can accept the ref missing it in real time, I didn’t see how bad it was until the replays the ones that VAR were able to study yet determine that it was sufficient for the ref to review I wonder why?
