Ref Watch

I did notice that.

Expect there to be a total of 4 added minutes in our match today.
If we are winning it will be the usual 3 minutes.

Yesterdsys added time was a joke, Dippers had close to 20 extra minutes in total, no idea where the 9 came from at Spurs but no issue with it as long as it’s consistent. No idea where 4 minute came from in 1st half just now at West Ham
But they should implement it or not, not choosing certain weekends only.

But it sums up the shocking officiating and those in charge at PGMOL where the current officiating standards are at an all time low, no consistency with the rules or implementation of them

They have changed the rules so many times since var started nobody knows the rules , keep changing then during the season is so wrong and those teams who have been shafted are stuck with it whilst others gain from the tinkering . Makes it appear bent even if it isnt

I suppose PL officiating could always be worse (I am sure PGMOL are working on it)…

I think that's unlucky, but not sure it's the refs fault.

There were 4 mins of injury time, and they played 5 - it looks like he's already allowed them extra time to let an attack progress, and in those cases a ref will always blow when the ball goes away from goal. He's just unlucky that a player was running in to take a shot, but if time is up and the defence have cleared then he's not going to let another attack start.

It's one of the more frustrating things about those last second free kicks/corners, where the players must have a vague idea that time is nearly up, but instead of playing the ball into the box, they play a short corner, or play a free kick slightly backwards to get a better angle, but instead just give the ref a chance to blow up.

Do red cards apply to say an FA Cup final suspension?

OliVAR might be looking to dish one out for a 3 gamer.

Straight reds count against all domestic comps. Anyone sent off today for something like violent conduct, won’t be available again this season, other than the European Final.

isnt that skipping a level? she's 'only' football league rather than Championship isn't she?
Not at all. Once you are in the football league you are part of the National List which means you can ref from Championship down. She was promoted to Select Group 2, which is basically the level below PL refs.

Thought Oliver reffed the game in a very odd way yesterday. A number of yellows for both sides should have been shown but for whatever reason didn't give them.

The guy was a passenger & all he was worried about was how he was gonna get off the pitch before it was invaded, his Lino was almost in the centre circle when he blew
