If our player tries to push the defender away to break the bear hug the ref declares it "six if one and half a dozen of the other" so not a foul. Happend to Halland 4 tines in Sunday, Dias and Ake also. It also happened vs Burnley and Newcastle.
I'll call it - Cheating with PGMOL under instructions to level the playing field.

Yes this is even more annoying because as soon as their keeper came to punch away a cross/corner in the 2nd half (which he did clear) he also won a free kick.
Webb can bring his new book of bollocks out at the beginning of every season but it seems he doesn't want to try stopping attacking players getting rugby tackled in the area from set pieces.
