Maybe Neville, Carragher etc are the real VAR officials. They must be linked. The commentators always announce the results of the review before it comes up on the screen. How do they know ?

One thing I've noticed is that they're pretty quick to say what they think and it's generally the way they want it to go rather than what it actually should be, almost like they are trying to prompt or influence the decision, it's made me think on more than one occasion that VAR and the commentary team can hear each other at least.Maybe Neville, Carragher etc are the real VAR officials.
It's simple! If a scarlet clad wastrel is wandering around the opposition penalty area with little or no intent and collapses to the ground the ref and VAR will immediately point to the spot. The umpteen elements that constitute a penal offence as written in the LotG are only advisory and for guidance purposes only.Same when Foden tried to stay on his feet against Southampton, blatant penalty although for some inexplicable reason Andy Hincliffe said that he,d jumped over the keeper. He got penalised for staying on his feet although after the last few days I haven’t got a scooby what a penalty is anymore.
Edited.Maybe Neville, Carragher etc are the real Match Commanders..
I think you might be right - a couple of ex-Reds who like the sound of their own voice. They could be one and the same. Will the real VAR wallahs stand up!One thing I've noticed is that they're pretty quick to say what they think and it's generally the way they want it to go rather than what it actually should be, almost like they are trying to prompt or influence the decision, it's made me think on more than one occasion that VAR and the commentary team can hear each other at least.
FFSGoing to be head of VAR I heard
Pawson last night in the Haringay v Villa game was suggesting to the Villa player that the ball had gone out of play before he was cleaned out by the Spuds goalie. Just bending the facts to match their narrative.Same when Foden tried to stay on his feet against Southampton, blatant penalty although for some inexplicable reason Andy Hincliffe said that he,d jumped over the keeper. It's been an amazing performance from PiGMOL's finest.I’ve never witnessed a round of fixtures so corrupt, where’s Martin Samuel on this ? Can’t believe he won’t want a chance to take it all apart, it almost feels like the officials are remonstrating against VAR it’s that bad, which is strange given it’s about to become an old boys club where fat twats who can’t run as are put out to pasture
Yer wouldn't hear the following conversation in rugby:Why isn't it like rugby where you can hear the conversations going on and the logic behind a decision. Until it's like that it will continue to be manipulated for match fixing purposes. This 'clear and obvious' nonsense is just a smokescreen.
