I would like the people in charge of VAR to give us an explanation as of to how the decision was given to award that pen. It felt like they wanted to find something to help Liverpool cause Palace were on the up. As well I would like to know why Firmino wasn't given offside for jumping to try and win the cross in order to score.

You're dead right, but they will never ever do it and we all know why.

Use it as motivation. If we want that title then we have to be so, so good, so committed, that even the selective use of var can't stop us. Let them rely on cheating, on commercialisation of the product helping their on field results. It's in their history after all, and we all know how much they love to bleat on about that.

The agenda is clear today and yesterday, there is direction from above to make this league more financially attractive and generative, at least in my opinion. But whether it's perceived or not, it matters little if we turn on our afterburners. And like Pep has said time and time again, well do it ourselves, and nobody will give us anything.
