Ref Watch

In fairness we did stop playing as soon as he blew his whistle, Mahrez I think was closest to Coutinho and he stoped completly, but I doubt the pundits will point that out, they will say Villa were robbed.

Looked like we got away with the offside there in fairness, but who's to say Eddie wouldn't have saved it if the whistle hadn't gone
After watching it back, there was no way he would have scored if the ref didn't blow, mahrez was just about to tackle him, dias stopped, stones actually ducks out of the way of the ball, and Ederson just waved it by. No way that would have gone in if play had continued

Wow Villa's "disallowed" goal , the whistle went ffs , so basically he kicked a ball into the net after play had stopped and City players had stopped !
Wonder if SKY would make a big deal (has they are doing with us) if it was against Liverpool or Utd ?

Two things need to be brought in.

Timer on goal kicks. Once the ball is back on the field, keeper has 15 seconds to take the kick otherwise a corner is awarded.

Get rid of stoppage time. It's a completely subjective amount with no explanation. Not to mention the time wasting (heroic recovery from Emi Martinez). All dead balls whether its a foul, goal or into touch, stop the clock. Once 90 mins hits play until the ball is off the field, whether its in touch or in the goal.

Football needs timekeeping separate from the ref. Look to Rugby League for the answer.
