Yep, play on all game, but when there's a goal, the forensic microscope comes out and looks for any excuse to chalk it off. And that's not a criticism of this game in particular, that's a problem with VAR in general.

Thought he would have let the goal stand, as he had let the game flow, but the var team had other ideas. No point letting fouls go until we score, and then the var intervene. Not on the ref that.

Just said similar, what is the point in refereeing a physical game if you're going to change your mind on VAR. Might as well blow up for everything.

Exactly, the referee had clearly decided that he was going to let the game be physical, far worse challenges were let go in the game. Pointless allowing games to be physical if your going to then use VAR to analyse everything. Might as well blow up for any nudge.

I can't believe i was gullible enough to believe that var would help us. Its just another option for them. when the ref fucks up and is making the correct on field decision, to have us over.

They tell him to "consider" a particular incident. He goes to the screen knowing that they've already taken a decision. Fucked.

We can complain about VAR but it must pointed out that the entire sequence should've never happened since it came right after Ederson saved Salah's one on one and instead of a corner for them we got a goal kick from which the "goal" came.
