I recall a penalty given for a very similar incident in the World Cup, think it as for argentina, and the pundits were unanimous in saying it shouldn’t have been one.

Ederson is a clown for giving them the decision to make but we see that every match that's played & nobody every gets a penalty for that, also only our goalkeeper can get a yellow.

Let’s see how many keepers are warned and then booked in the first 35 minutes of the first half at the Etihad. And if standing your ground and letting a player hit you is a penalty then the game is fucked

Going to be unpopular here but I think it is a foul and therefore it is a penalty. It infuriates me when we don't get them. As it stands there's a free license for the goalkeeper to clatter into the opposition that they wouldn't get away with anywhere else on the pitch. The annoying thing is we see this every single week go unpunished and overlooked. Seems awfully coincidental they choose today of all days to pull somebody (US) up on it.

I don't mind that type of thing being given, but like you it's about consistency.

It’s not even subtle or funny how the world of refereeing has changed again since Webb got involved again.

It’s one massive boys club, with their favourites benefitting all over again and absolute, incoherent nonsense being peddled out to justify shocking decisions.

Webb also doesn’t help the referee’s image. He seems to like the idea of this super celebrity ref, much like Dean.
