I was his linesman once in the FA Cup - Macc Town v Chorley FC. I'm not sure what he'd done to deserve that particular low key affair. I always thought he was a decent referee.

I'm sure it was Jeff Winter reffing a City game when Eyal Berkovic gave him a gesture, looking like "Biggles" as if to say get your eyes checked. I think Jeff Winter took it good heartedly and laughed.

In the 3rd min he was telling one of there’s to calm down and I thought he would continue like that but he then just let them get away with it. The booking of Jesus was a disgrace.
