Ref Watch

It's blatant.
I wish city react to this shit, but have a funny feeling whatever city do, the media will turn it against city.
I think Pep should be more vocal about it tho, but Pep seems he prefers sarcasm when talking about the standard of refereeing city get.

You can tell the disrespect Pep has for the media in his aftermatch interviews. He says as little as possible and what he does say tells them absolutely nothing.

The officiating gets more and more obviously biased to United and Liverpool by the week.

Blatant last man foul by Konate on a Brighton forward (including a forearm to the back of the players head) in the 84th minute of their FA Cup tie (at 1-1), which would be a red card if anyone of our players had done it, is ignored by the referee and VAR.

Gets even worse. Fabinho absolutely rakes young Ferguson down the back of his calf. He knew himself it was a bad one. Spineless Coote gives a yellow. It goes to VAR for possible red and you’ve guessed it, check complete no further action. Absolutely disgusting. Coote is totally crap and VAR not fit for purpose.

It’s getting farcical.

We would have had two sent off.

Neil Swarbrick, from Preston, was VAR in the Liverpool game, he's a disgrace, he was former head of VAR until recently replaced by Howard Webb. Unbelievably bad performance. Should have been 2 reds for Liverpool.
The on field ref David Coote must be the most incompetent 2hat out there. And that includes Stuart Atwell who is just some I wanna be noticed type.
Coote did our game against Wolves and he was shocking. Not biased because he made dreadful decisions against both teams. And even a non-decision when it came to penalty shout on Grealish.
Today, how did he miss that elbow in the back of the head by Konate when striker was clean through. And that really awful kick on the Brighton players achilles by Fabinho? Both red card decisions when he had nothing else to look at.

My god, Sky Sports even highlights the farcical decisions — you know it is too obvious to be ignored when they aren’t trying to bury it.

Klopp was eager to focus on the positives afterwards. The performance, he said, was "much better" than the one his side produced at the same ground two weeks ago. But the outcome was the same and in truth it could easily have been worse.

Kaoru Mitoma's winner came after two Liverpool players - Ibrahima Konate and Fabinho - somehow avoided red cards. Konate, already on a yellow, should have been off for his last-man barge on Alexis Mac Allister. Fabinho's lunge on Evan Ferguson was even uglier.

This was probably1 of the most inept performances by both the ref and VAR officials. Jut how it can possibly get any worse is hard to believe but somehow they will manage new lows next weekend.

I am still trying to work out why the Konate 1 was not even looked at by VAR. Thought all potential red card offences were to be examined. He was already on a yellow so any offence he commited from that point on should have been reviewed. Fabinho thought he was going to be sent off, you could tell by his reaction yet nothing.

The argument made for the introduction of VAR was that the ref only had one real-time view and couldn't see everything.
This season the officiating has probably been the worst its been since the introduction of VAR. The referees have got lazy because of VAR. Even someone like Coote would have given a red card to Fabinho before it's introduction. He probably didn't because he would have been waiting for the VAR to tell him it was a red card offence.
He could have missed the Konate one because he was probably a long way from it. That is what VAR is for. Also the linesman at that end should have called it.

Dermot didn’t show up on sky sports news this morning plus as of yet talksport not mentioned the 2/3 red cards Liverpool should of hard! Now if that was city today they’ll be none stop reporting on it and Dermot would be up early reading to rip into us! Liverpool stepped in to shut them up!
