Ref Watch

How ironic that Webb mentions last night's referee, a certain Stuart Atwell. I really hope that the club have made sure that he will not be refereeing one of our matches for a very long time.

He will get a cup final this year. It will be subtle, no conversations but you will feel if you have upset or made your pay masters happy.

More importantly others will fall in line as they quickly identify what’s rewarded.

Cost us three points, they never looked like scoring after Grealish’s goal. We should be 2 points behind Arsenal with having to play them twice. How we’ve been officiated since the restart has been suspect at the very least. Have never truly believed that our league is bent but I’m starting to doubt it now.

He contradicts himself so many times. You have to do 1 of 4 things & Rashford didn’t but then says Rashford followed the ball for a long time & impedes Akanji & Ederson.

But that is subjective as 99% including the linesman thought it was clear offside & the ref didn’t.

Cheating cunts!
Yes, and he also says, ‘if we get involved in the subjective situations we could end up with inconsistency’…I think var has been on the inconsistency bus from day one in the premier league tbh!

Next time it will be offside, you can’t get any more inconsistent than that.

It's all just bollocks. After that non-offside there is no doubt in my mind what they are doing.

Anyone trying to justify it with "subjective" or "letter of the law" has been caught in the trap. Oh yes, and can just fuck off as far as I am concerned.

Apart from those in red, the whole world knew it should have been given offside.
Even they knew. The mouthy bastards just can't acknowledge it. Most fans of most clubs would happily hold their hands up and recognise that they got away with one. These twats, same as Liverpool, are incapable of doing so. Which is just one of the reasons why they are so utterly despised.

He refereed last year's Carabao final. He won't be at a final this year.

Excellent use of the word probably, several times. Vindicates the on-field decision whilst suggesting it was the wrong decision - response of a politician. Apart from those in red, the whole world knew it should have been given offside.
Even the Rags knew it was offside, only one person didn’t as he needed to give them a goal to get them back into it.

Simply, cheats prospered.

Officials did everything they could to prevent Palace from scoring the equaliser against United after the “pressure release” Casemiro red card.

Give a prominent decision against United after weeks of mounting scrutiny arising from numerous questionable (non)decisions over many games so as to make it seem like United aren’t getting favourable treatment but make sure it doesn’t actually impact the match result. And now they can continue the favourable officiating and just shout “but the Casemiro red!” every time someone highlights another suspect (non)decision.

This is how you do it for those asking how manipulation works via officiating.

Rags get a penalty & I agree with it but I said at the time of seeing t these get waved away all the time. I’ve just watched Bournemouth not get one at Brighton.

File under subjective.

He did say they'd talked, if not to the whole world, to other associations. But foreign version of the laws says interfering with an opponent is by "influencing" the ability of the opponent to play the ball, not "impacting". Much clearer to say Rashford influenced Ederson than impacted.

City players should have sworn blind that Rashford got a touch.

They shouldn’t have had to, it was clearly offside, but the club & Pep should’ve kicked off royal about it and other bullish!t officiating against us.

We tweak things as we go

Say no more

Why? Because 1) it won't change the decision or the result and 2) it gives the media another stick to beat us with. We all love to take the piss out of klipperty, when he's blaming the wind or the grass for a poor result; how do you imagine Pep or the club complaining about refereeing would go down?

That’s true & Pep always says don’t give players excuses.

He only goes off after a win but some sort of lobbying Pigmol or prem league needs to happen.
