Having watched the highlights, two clear penalties for Brighton, the foul on Mitoma and the pull on Dunk. Also, not sure the Brighton goal disallowed for handball, touched the player’s hand. Certainly not clear and obvious. Disgraceful really that Atwell and his var team, who backed him to the hilt, are able to influence a game with a lot riding on it. His incompetence has been plain to see all season. Capped it off by sending the Spurs caretaker-manager off, who was the only one who steered clear of the melee.

Fucking hate this apologizing shite.

All the decisions made sense within the parameters of VAR, it's just the parameters of VAR are shite. Scrap it and be done with it, but I don't want or need handwringing after the fact.
 
PGMOL have apologised so instead of being 1 point behind Spurs with 2 games in hand, they are now 7 points behind but at least they have their 3rd apology of the season.
Attwell is hopeless, i never trust him, but the guy on Var needs sacking, one of the worst officiating performances ever.

Attwell has previously been demoted from the laughably-named "Elite Group" of referees (wtf are they actually elite at?) for his incompetence.

So either he's still grossly incompetent or he's a deliberate cheat. In either case he shouldn't be officiating full stop, never mind at PL level. You do wonder if his return to that "Elite Group" was conditional on him obeying orders.

agree with the comments about Attwell full stop, always been useless and should be nowhere near the PL.

of course VAR is there to 'help him' , he certainly needs it but yesterday didnt. Who was on VAR for Spurs/BHA ?

I can see it now, last game of the season somebody is going to take them to court because of a mistake that will cost a club something big like a place in the premier league or a top 6 place,

if Brighton misses out on Europe then should think they have the right to take them to court for loss of earningss

That happens all the time with Manchester City and we have had to learn to play with the corruption the referring,
Brighton should not let this go and demand a replay or take them to court

Unless fans take decisive action ...disrupting games,blockading PL Office,PIGMOL Office,SKY Studios,BBC Studios etc etc...NOTHING WILL CHANGE !!

A million fans watch games every week but sit on their hands and accept this shit.

Direct disruption,militant action,a bit of chaos & anarchy....let the whole world know...upset some sponsors...Kidnap Webb or Attwell or all the fuckers ...BUT DO SOMETHING !!

Just watched the highlights. Anyone who thinks our game is not bent need to watch this match and explain how they came to these decisions. This game is exactly why we needed var in the first place. I'm sorry we made 4 or 5 mistakes all against the same team just does not wash with me. Bent as fuck. Sorry for any Brighton fans on here, but come your semi final, unfortunately i think you can expect the same again, maybe even worse.
 
Yesterday was another dark day for premier league officiating. Kavanagh and Atwell at their terrible worst and then we had Haaland booked for getting fouled.

i know referees make mistakes but I thought VAR was supposed to fix those mistakes. Instead, if it’s even possible, VAR has actually made things worse. They somehow manage to see things that didn’t happen, miss things that clearly did and at the same time remove a lot of fun from the game.
