Refereeing inconsistency

Barry was sent off for persistent fouling, not for the tackle itself.

Then we should be looking at the fouls Charlie Adam made in the same match (no cards).

And Charlie Adam wasn't even cautioned for his persistent fouling, and Skyrtl wasn't even cautioned for decking Yaya in the box when he clearly prevented a goal scoring opportunity.

wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity.

and yeah, Adam is protected, 13 more fouls than Barry this season, lots given for him, yet 3 less cards.

Anyone got the time to post side-by-side clips of Barry's second booking in the League game, and Gerrard's non-booking for his "bodycheck" on Johnson?

Nevermind his second booking, his first booking was his first foul of the match, whilst it had been a tasty, lots of warnings but Barry first card?

wrong place at the wrong time, refs are taught to tot up on both sides and have a set number of fouls in mind before they give their first card.

Unless your name is Skrtel, Adam, Gerrard, Evra, Ferdinand, Rooney, Fletcher?
