Referees’ Performances 2018/19

I thought he let things get out of control from both teams - he let some early fouls go unpunished and was clearly determined to keep his cards in his pocket, that is fine up to a point but it allowed things to get niggly and then vicious. He could have booked players from both sides early on - but City seemed to calm down a bit whilst Tottenham carried on. Haven't seen Walker hand ball didn't look much at the time - thought Bernardo was brought down in box, and Foden was given an enormous push whilst jumping to control ball, that is given as foul in the centre circle but not the penalty area. Once Rose came on it got nasty - he was looking for a fight and Bernardo was happy to oblige - to see Raheem get fired up you know there is some nasty stuff going on. Oliver started booking people way too late. But i don't think he was cheating - if he was the Walker incident would be given as a penalty or some push and shove at a corner would be given or one of our players would have got the early booking - I think he was trying to let a tense match flow - but it all got away from him in the end - just hope no one is too scarred.

Bent as anything, awful display and he seemed desperate for Spurs to get something from the game, as others have said, that last 20 minutes defied belief.
Weds game will be the same and if by some chance we get the three points against the rags,it moves onto the next game, remember we don’t have to lose just a draw could fuck us up,the longer games drift at 1-0 ( if we are winning that is) leaves it open for us to be fucked over unless we get a 2 or even a 3rd goal..

This from a guy who is allegedly one of our top refs. Terrible performance, he apparently did not see yellow card offences that happened right in front of him, not even a free kick. Berni, Raz and Sane were assaulted. Our players got no protection from Oliver, who seemed happy to let Spuds kick the shit out of us.
I got the impression today that some big money had been placed in the Far East market on less than 4.5 yellow cards.

Also gave Spurs a free kick for a push in the back that looked no worse than the one on Sterling that looked like it should have been a penalty.

The last 10 mins - he completely lost control - terrible flying tackle on Sane and he ignored it. For all their bravado- Spurs are a dirty side at times.

The one on Bernado by Rose was fucking bad. He got the ball but by going straight through Bernado.
No wonder he went flying. Oliver just ignored it. Somebody ought to clatter that fucker one day, he might
appreciate what it's like then.

Sets the tone for the match, not sure why people are saying he was bent if anything he was just shite for both teams. Go on the spurs forum and they think he was pro city haha.

He was bad late on, for us. There was some very physical (dirty stuff), from Vertonghen and Rose that he let go and gave all the little fouls from us.
