It was 100% a penalty but they said VAY would make sure that mistakes like that wouldn't happen.

It wasn't a mistake though, it was blatant corruption or at the very least heavy red top bias.

Bobb didn’t scream and roll around, calling for a stretcher…ergo, nothing to see here, no reason to draw attention to the foul, no penalty needed, play on!!!

And they wonder why players try to “buy the foul”??!!

Even worse in Scotland, just this weekend Rangers get 3 horrendous decisions against them OK’d by VAR while Celtic get a dodgy last minute penalty just after the ref ignored a rugby tackle on a Kilmarnock forward in the box.

Haven’t seen the Rangers incidents but I did see the double deflection in the Celtic game very harsh players arm is out but it’s deflected onto his arm,you can’t legislate for that happening very unlucky and not a pen in my opinion..

Would have to agree that was the most impartial performance I have seen in a derby for a long time - if ever.
Perhaps the agreement made between the club and PL includes a clause whereby it is agreed that we are not abused by referees, wishful thinking I guess

Which one, two on Khusanov, one on Gvardiol, the penalty appeal could not be given, as there was no contact that made him fall. But the way to see Taylors impartiality is by Doku, who was fouled repeatedly, all worse than Diallo. Taylor gave utd as much advantage as he could, short of a penalty, and god knows they have had 13 of those this season.

Still baffled by Byandir picking up a back pass without being penalised. Poor first touch, Haaland challenged him but I don’t think he touched the ball and Bayandir then picked it up. Or have I misunderstood the pass to a goalkeeper law?

If the keeper makes a genuine attempt to to kick the ball but slices hit, skids off side of boot etc then they can pick it up which is what happened in this case.

More importantly when Haaland went around the keeper and hit the post Bernardo passed it back across the six yard line and was then then taken out but no penalty awarded. Remember when Ederson collided with an arse player after he shot and Taylor couldn't wait to give the penalty and everyone agreed that it was a stonewall penalty. Exactly the same situation with Bernardo and same ref yet mysteriously nothing given...

I’d assumed the keeper couldn’t pick it up until someone else had played the ball - if the rule is as you say it’s a strange one, rewarding a player’s incompetence

I've never heard of that. But he would have had to have been certain that the ball hadn't flicked off Haaland, which it didn't but not easy to tell live.

Having read your post reminded me of this incident. I thought I had missed something. However, having checked it should have been an indirect free kick as no other player touched the ball.

The keeper still cannot pick it up even if he slices it as you describe. Not sure where you got this from.
