Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Oliver gives the “safest” decision and waits to be shown he has made a “clear and obvious” error…by one of his mates!!!

Sadly, this has got him where he wants to go…UEFA List and FIFA World Cup, which all puts more and more money in his pocket every season and an ever increasing profile!

Beto should have had 2 yellows, but in reality he should have got the first one so he didn’t make that same challenge again. The one on Khusa was a bad one. Stood on the back of his foot and took his boot off, which is a nasty challenge where he knew exactly what he was doing!!

We could talk about the refs until the cows come home, but 19 other PL teams can, too, because we all feel badly done to at some point.

What I don’t like to see is one team trying to impose their will by being overly physical to overcome their poor technical ability. Today, Oliver was very late to step in to stop it until far too late, and was then weak in imposing his authority.

At one point, he finally gave Tarkowski a yellow and the cameras focused in on him, only to see him say, clear as day, “Mike…fuck off!” Now, I realize that the Laws of the Game say it’s a straight red card (Respect?? HAHAHA!), but unless you score and swear into the camera, you get away with it, even though millions see it live on TV!

No one is going to shed a tear for Everton clogging City for 95 mins, because no one wants to see us winning everything. We just have to live with this mentality, as we have had to do for years!

Because our players are human beings. They make mistakes. 100% for 90 minutes every game is only possible with robots. We shouldn't have be perfect to win matches, just be better than the other team. Referees should be honest and impartial. They are not. As Pep has said, we have earned our trophies, without any outside help.
Sorry can't agree, if the players can put that urgency & pass the ball that much quicker in the last 15 mins of the game they can do it from minute 1. Doesn't take a robot to pass the ball quicker instead of farting about taking 3 or 4 touches, these are elite athletes that train week in week out! It's ok to disagree, and if you think that result tonight was down to refereeing decisions & not our complacency then im afraid I'll have to disagree with you.

Allowed them to kick us all over the park tonight without any consequences.
Sets the tone for the game. It had a negative effect on our players and a positive effect on their players. It was basically a double-fisting from the PiGMOL with no lube, and we have to deal with Despot Dermot's bullshit narrative about how it definitely wasn't a penalty and definitely not a red card.

FUCKING CUNTS!!!

Exactly.

Great post that.

Oliver’s not corrupt, just as incompetent as it gets. Stands in the way of passes, fastidious when it comes to throw ins but misses leg breakers, has absolutely no feel for the game at all. Complete disaster of a ref
I agree with every word of your post.......apart from the First three.

Wrong imho, he's a spineless **** who carries ou

Can't believe there are freaks on here defending it. If the linesmen puts his flag up straight away the ref stops play. Guehi wouldn't feel under pressure to continue playing and passing the ball under pressure from the Everton player. And the offside player benefits from being closer to the keeper to intercept the pass. It's a joke.

Still doesn't excuse a shocking performance but for me the rule they're using to justify it is a farce.
It was not a shocking performance.it was what I'd expect from players ,at the arse end of a season, playing against 12 men,....whilst watching their fellow teammates get kicked to bits from the oppenent without any protection from the gangster ref/var/assistant refs....UNIT.

We have been screwed over by the officials for a number of years now but luckily for us the squad and manager have been so good it didn't stop us. I'd say that now though it's moved up to another level and even with var theyre still doing it. The non sending off at the swamp, the Gabriel one and last night the Keane incident are three off the top of my head that has cost us dearly. Although we were poor at the swamp playing against ten men for so long when the score was still 0-0 there is every possibility we would have won that game. Three points lost.
The Gabriel one, although we won the game, has impacted us as they would have lost a very important player for three games.
Last night the Keane one. There is no way we would have dropped points last night if he would have been sent off. In fact I'd say we would have comfortably won and boosted our goal difference into the bargain, I'd say 5-0 at least.

I'm still not letting that Henderson one last season be forgotten either. It was cheating, pure and simple in full view of the whole world in a cup final. I've never known a goalkeeper deliberately handle outside the area and not be sent off. Not only did he deliberately handle it but he denied Haaland a clear goalscoring opportunity. It was an outrageous decision which cost us another trophy.

On the subject of cup finals they tried their best to stop us winning the treble in the final against the rags. Firstly Casimero should have been sent off snd then there was the ludicrous penalty awarded against Jack which got them back into a game they were never in until that decision.

Aside from these blatant decisions teams sre allowed to kick fuck out of our players every game with hardly any consequences. Are we reffed differently? you bet we are! Because it's us though the City hating media brush it under the carpet so its soon forgotten. We see it though.

To me this season seems worst. But it clearly started in last season fa Cup final.

Can think of 5 clear red cards not given. Rags, arsenal and Everton, Newcastle (twice?)
At least 2 dodgy VAR

It seems the pl plan of having a different winner ever 6 yrs is on full show.
Plus the press/media etc are playing along with it .

According to the LOTG a red card should be shown if a player uses offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or action(s).

Which bit of ‘Mike, fuck off’ doesn’t fall under that definition.

Neverton should have been down to ten ten after 45 (Keane), nine after 48 (Beto) and eight after 53 (Tarkowski).

The decision not to send Keane off was unforgiveable. He allowed them to foul Doku with impunity all night.

There is no other word for the decisions that have gone against us this season but corruption. The Henderson one last season was blatant cheating, there really is no other word for it. The media are complicit in this too, of that i have absolutely no doubt

I am not sure if they have been given a directive to do this by somebody high up but it's happening so often and some of the decisions are so blatant it can't just be that every ref is inept. When you consider var was brought in to rectify these mistakes and they're not doing so then something very fishy is going on. I've forgotten the Semenyo hair pulling incident which should have been a penalty and sending off, another one to add to the list.

Unless a whistleblower comes forward proving it is as good as impossible, but just like a murder case with no hard proof, the circumstancisl evidence of their guilt is becoming overwhelming.

That ship sailed when Fat Boy Rooney went a full season not being booked
