Referees' Performances | 2025/26

Only after he was shoved by an Arsenal player. If the Arsenal player doesn’t touch him he doesn’t touch the goalie
Yep. Then what happens is Raya’s arms go under the Whams players and he cannot get it away unless he’s happy to break it. If it was a foul then without a doubt Rice bundled a player to the ground right behind it. No goal but a penalty. Give up tbh.

If the VAR ref is doing our cup final, it will be interesting to see the new gold standard for minimal contact in the box is penalised.
He has now made a rod for his own back.

Can we have a system running in the game to allow reviews of VAR's Clear and Obvious mistakes?
One man's mistakes in the game (the referee) we all can live with ? But a whole team of so-called VAR officials, well that's a joke

I remember them trying to sell VAR to the Clubs and fans by taking out a dodgy mistake that can send a team down or lose the title and get managers the sack and lose clubs millions of pounds

Sorry, but until the game and other clubs than the so-called elite clubs grow big balls and say enough of this shit, I am out.

Manchester City have the biggest challenge in world football ? beating the system that is hell-bent on punishing us because they think we are cheating and didn't lie down and take the shit somebody made up in fake emails

That is what we are fighting against ? the system that is bent in the first place

I think it's just about a foul, but there's also 3 Arsenal players fouling WHU players.

But I am absolutely fed up of the way referee's pick and choose when to apply the letter of the law and even more fed up with the way commentators and pundits let them off the hook.

A couple of weeks ago, we had Anthony Taylor - backed up by VAR, refuse to send Gabriel off for a headbutt - something that has categorically always been a red card. We then had pundits praising the referee for letting the game breathe and justifying the decision because the context of the game was that it was a high-stakes title run in game. Incidentally, rather than serve the subsequent 3 game ban, Gabriel has just helped Arsenal to 9 points and 3 clean sheets.

The goal WHU scored today has been given time and time again this season - often to the benefit of Arsenal.

Ha ha.

Fully expect Trafford to be given a clothesline from hell by a Chelsea striker and the resulting goal will be allowed to stand.

Consistent referee decisions arent a thing.

VAR actually cost us a cup last year. It’s a blight on the game

I’d imagine that it was easier to give it as a foul than not, especially after he’d been sent to the monitor.

By the extreme letter of the law it probably is as the West Ham players are was outstretched and touching Raya. Was it enough to put him off? Probably not but debatable.

Had he not given it there would rightly also have been outrage. But on balance he did touch his arm so the ref can more easily argue that he is right to rule the goal out - by the letter of the law.

Basically the ref had a choice and he took the easy way out.

so a few weeks back talking to a Arsenal fan I know, I said don’t get use to the blatant disregard of the laws when it come to your set pieces as they will let it happen this year and next it will be clamped down to stop you winning it again! I was obviously laughed off as a bitter city fan but after the comments of new winners every few years and that goal being disallowed I can see some rules being changed and Arsenal no where near the title next year

Annoying as it is, we shouldn't have thrown points away against Everton.
Its our own fault.

That said, the final match of the season can do funny things to a team. Fingers crossed.

As standard, VAR audio should be released straight after the game, for the entirety of the check.

The foul on Raya, very soft, Arsenal have done that thousands of times this season and got away with it, but have they even discussed Rice on Mavrapanos? Have they even SPOTTED it?
I don’t trust the cnuts, they’d edit the audio,we should be hearing the conversation between ref and VAR when they are looking at something and that includes if asked to go to the screen, they do it in rugby so why can’t it be done in football..

Once the referee has been sent to review the monitor and subsequently spend ages analysing it,you can pretty much guarantee he'll flip.

Var is and always will be an utter clusterfuck the way it is being applicated.
The real issue is the consistency of the decisions,or lack of.

Not only the PGMOL at the behest of the Premier league given the title to the Goons but tragically have relegated West Ham , we will be annoyed but yourself in West Ham's shoes (and we know how much it hurts) absolutely robbed of their Premier league place.
On the incident , there were at least four fouls in th epenalty area ,the three committed by Goons players and all ignored ,but the one they highlighted was incorrect , the Goons player was backing into the West Ham lad who was putting his arm up in the air to keep his balance , Raya was weak and was never getting that cross , not in a million years.
If there is a football god , Burnley stuff the Goons and West Ham win their last two games , North London plastic entitled fans are hated and to see the Goons suffer total humiliation and finish 2nd and Spuds get relegated would a reason for a drink or two.
Neve rhad an issue with the Hammers and i hope they bounce back stronger than ever.

Arsenal have been on the end of favourable decisions since the club started cry arsing and sending open letters. No doubt orchestrated by that twat Arteta. Bunch of arseholes that lot.

The c*nt on VAR , Darren England is the same c*nt who reffed the FA Cup Final and he got dogs abuse from our fans over the Palace keeper not being sent off , dont tell me that was not at the back of his mind when he made the decision , its human nature to seek retribution and he took his chance , he should be held to account for his decision and suspended and never be allowed to be involved in any of our games again.England is a spineless , cheating twat

Except for the smug headwobbler who is so inadequate, he had to show he is own man by being the only one ignoring the VAR, in his first game.
