Referees' Performances | 2025/26

They were rocking a bit. Taylor didn’t want to take any chances and knew exactly what he was doing.
Correct. Alty fan knew fine what he was doing and didn't want to risk another potential Aguero type moment. There should have been at least an additional 2 minutes for time wasting, the goal, and their last minute substitution imo.

Just rewatched the last 6 minutes and in that time we had the Rodri & Kluivert foul x 2 plus another free kick and the goal, all that time took just over two and half minutes out of the clock. There was also a goal kick to Bournemouth which for one minute the sky cameras were on the crowd so no idea how long it took them to restart the game, but possibly at least another 30 seconds taking the time wasted to three minutes or more and the twat player an additional 22 seconds over the six minutes. The sooner the time is kept like rugby the better, we might actually see some football being played

That offside flag going up in a milli second because Haalands little toe was potentially a millimetre offside is the best example yet of how we’re reffed differently

Pep has known this for a long time
The replay showed how tight the offside call was, and even teh commentator said he was surprised it hadn't been allowed to play out, the way a much more obvious offside was allowed to play out in the first half by the same linesman.

The thing is, it would have taken about three more seconds to see what the outcome was. If Haaland scores the one-on-one, he can raise his flag then and VAR can do its work. If he misses, he can raise the flag and it has cost another five seconds.

His decision to call that very tight offside without letting it play out seems either remarkably incompetent or utterly bent.

However he is still a bent **** and one PGMOL rely upon when really needed.
What I can't understand is why PiGMOL send a Cheshire FA registered ref down to Bournemouth.

And Netball Salisbury has been shelved for this weekend. Probably the most outrageous and scandalous decision considering how fuckin' simple it was to call without any VAR intervention and then the pitch side video. If a trained and qualified ref can't see that as handball then I categorise him as an imbecile.

It was Salisbury turn to miss a week. Nothing more than that.

How when the offside is this tight can the liner stick his flag up yet same liner first half didn't flag despite clear daylight between attacker and defender. Did he just not see the right back playing Erling onside?

To stop myself from dwelling on rage, I'm going to go with the following made up, but soothing, explanation;

Following the ridiculous Bournemouth offside that resulted in Guehi being hurt, to add to a few other occasions this has happened to us, Pep had a word with the officials at HT for them to call offside when they deemed it so. And he proceeded to fuck it up.

Anyways that's what helped me sleep.

If he was, that photo doesn’t show it.

and if Erl was actually onside Sky wouldn't be drawing their own lines from an internal production bias standpoint .

If they did somehow dare to then I'm sure the Premier League would be remonstrating with them in private.

The attack should have been left to play out. Pretty sure he was offside though, albeit closer than the linesman thought.

I’ll leave the drawing of lines conspiracy alone. It’s all it is.
