Referees' Performances | 2025/26

But he could have been "brave" and stuck with his on field decision.
With offside he can't - he has to do what he is told as we are told it is factual. And in any case the game had restarted - even for subjective decisions, that is the end of it

So 60000 people in the Stadium watching on the screen can see Foden is onside that is a fact. And who was the guy on VAR a Tim Wood don't remember him reffing any Premiership games.Shows how corrupt Pgmol is.Good job there was nothing riding on it

What exactly are they manipulating and for what purpose in a game that had literally nothing on the line and resembled a testimonial?
I'll turn it around and ask you to explain what happened with Fodens goal.
To save a back and forth, in particular, please explain that graphic they showed.

It’s not VAR that needs scrapping, VAR is needed, it’s the current crop of abysmal officials that need scrapping. A new lot need bringing through who will officiate games and run VAR how it should be.
As long as PiGMOL have their hand on the tiller VAR will be run the way they want it. Joe Mercer used to chastise his players when they'd let in a goal by suggesting that he seen every fuckin' way a goal could be scored but the player had contributed to another way; Var does the same. There isn't a week in the fixtures where VAR finds another way to disallow a goal. The fact that they take minutes to look at an instant makes rugby VAR greased lighting. If it isn't clear and obvious and delivered in seconds they are rewriting the LotG - again.

Yep, good job it wasn't a 'must win' game. But I suppose had we fielded a team in order to win it VAR would have fucked us over in the first half.

I think its naive and a little silly to think there is some VAR vendetta against City.
Speak to ANY supporter of any club and they have also been on the end of some hideous decisions and think VAR are against them too!!

The problem is the law makers and implementers have absolutely tied themselves in knots in what the actual laws are!
They clamp down on shit for a week or two then totally forget it.
So many incidents that are a goal one week but not the next. The law makers have just totally confused themselves.

As regards to mardarsenal not giving away a pen or having a red card, i think they have just totally taken advantage of the law makers shit show.

The powers that be are ruining football for the match going fan
Course it’s bent. The more points we ended up behind Arsenal the more people can say “well such and such a decision didn’t impact the eventual outcome”. It’s bent as fuck

The pic on Sky showed a circle round Phil's ass. I suspect the wrong image is from the VAR folk fucking about and having a laugh and that is how the "wrong" image is shown. Until there is complete transparency we will never know.
They wouldn't be able to fuck teams over if it was transparent. Opacity is built into PiGMOL's DNA.

There is no explanation. Why did the ref not make the decision. He didn’t even look at the screen. VAR is a disaster for football. More than 90 per cent of fans don’t want it based on the FSA survey. We are the paying customers.

That image of Foden “offside” capitulates the whole season for me. Whatever happened to that random 5cm leeway excuse they made when Wirtz was a yard offside earlier in the season. Some people call it “manipulation”. I’ll call it for exactly what it is. Corruption.

Seen something yesterday that said Arsenal had benefited something like 20+ times from VAR this season.

LiVARpool last season VARsenal this season…. Wouldn’t it be a massive suprise to see VARchester United next season to complete the ref cartel treble. Absolute cunts.

Don't want to sound obsessed, forget about showing the wrong image, but why is there even. a wrong image?

I've come to the conclusion, that (unfortunately) VAR will not be scrapped.

That being the case the ONLY way it can work (bit like goal line technology) is remove the dodgy element, the Cheating / incompetent element, the twats watching in Stockley, and indeed the refs (occasionally) going to the screen. Remove the screen (as well). Make VAR totally automatic (for offsides) and instant, (none of this late flag crap).
Remove the human element, and it might just work fairly!
My thoughts when that image came up.
Why the fuck ate there two images it doesn't make sense

It is another symbol of the incompetent and corrupt leadership of the PL. The PGMOL is paid for by the PL. The clubs need to get a grip on the situation. They are damaging their own product.

How many of these other teams have had 115/130 charges brought against them which have been hanging over them for over 3 years?

I get your point, but (and I know this is with blue tinted glasses in) we do seem to get the worst of it, whether it be dodgy title deciding decisions against us (whether directly or indirectly) and the PL do want to destroy us.

It will be the rags turn for dodgy decisions next season. As we will genuinely be a club in transition any league/cup success will be a bonus. Just make sure we can celebrate St Beneathus Day is all I ask as a minimum.
Yep…They’ll be permitted to punch the ball in the net!It started this season.
