Referees' Performances | 2025/26

But what has happed to the 5cm tolerance. Or this that just for very special clubs. Or just so some wanker of a pundit can justified a wrong discission.
It's not a real thing. It's been officially applied once to justify the wrong Wirtz call.

Newcastle had one earlier this season where he was clearly offside. We all know it's bent.

Bent as in?
The premier league instructing var on wjat decisions to make ?
Absolutely fucking yes. The same premier league that OPENLY proclaimed they wanted a different winner at least every 6 years. If they at that in public what do you think they do in private? Arsenal got bent decisions in their favour all season, we got it the other way. Cheating in plain sight

Don't want to sound obsessed, forget about showing the wrong image, but why is there even. a wrong image?

I've come to the conclusion, that (unfortunately) VAR will not be scrapped.

That being the case the ONLY way it can work (bit like goal line technology) is remove the dodgy element, the Cheating / incompetent element, the twats watching in Stockley, and indeed the refs (occasionally) going to the screen. Remove the screen (as well). Make VAR totally automatic (for offsides) and instant, (none of this late flag crap).
Remove the human element, and it might just work fairly!

There are too many subjective elements to offside and the system isn't accurate enough yet to be completely reliable even on the automatic determinations.

On top of all that, I don't want offsides given to the mm.

I thought it was stupid to spend more than two seconds looking at a replay of Watkins' goal. If he was ever going to be offside it was barely noticeable. The linesman's decision was fine. Just give the goal for Christ's sake.

As for Foden's arse being off-side - what advantage was he gaining from his backside being half an inch in front of a defender's foot while facing the wrong way? The linesman was right again imho. It's all just ridiculous.

Offsides should be judged how off-sides are played. Simple as that. Torso, full speed. Any doubt, give it to the attacker. Like linesmen used to do, and still do, because there is no other way of assessing it in the real world.

If Foden goal was given not one person anywhere or even Villa players would of complained VAR is anti football and finding any excuse to rule goals out for certain teams that prick yesterday as been reffing in the championship most of last season and we end up with the clown

The linesman gave Watkins offside.

I agree, whilst being pushed by the red shirts and laughingly spurs, they want us out the way. But i dont believe they make decisions in game to fuck us over
So please explain yesterday's 'Phil' decision.
Please explain what 60,000 saw on a screen, explain why the players reacted as they did and finally, why does 'offside' seem to change week by week, team by team.

Villa players went straight to the ref to get in his head, I didn’t think off side but almost asking them to scrutinise something.

But surely if they were going to try and hide the fact it’s supposedly corrupt, they’d have given that goal so we can’t all call it out? There was nothing at stake, afterall.
Just a chance to rub our noses in it. Wonder if Phil’s drop in form is actually due to the realization that the league is fixed and why bother?

I believe in my heart that we were going to win the league this season. Arsenal weren’t convincing and we were set to snatch it from them on the final day.

Pep should have pulled the team off at that point, citing corruption and then sailed off into the sunset

As somebody on here said, there is no independence with var, these idiots are marking their own homework and then defending it afterwards all to each other, ref makes a crap decision, var defends crap decision, webb makes up some bullshit to further defend and then they get another idiot on sky to defend it more, all part of the same corrupt club
Just goes to show all cop are bastards, including referees.

I am not sure that the referee could have overruled VAR for the alleged offside.

Better to do it on a dangerous challenge not shown red and claim your protecting the safety of your players - Rudiger on De Bruyne would have been an ideal opportunity.

Im sorry i dont believe that goes on. There would be too many people involved and somebody would squeal.

When somebody does come forward i shall absolutely stand corrected.
In the mean time i shall put it down to utter incompetence
