Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

This should be the end of Reform.

I think we're already at the point where some of Reforms support are in a maga lite situation and will defend the indefensible on the basis it's now more about owning the wokes than any sane political thinking.

Hopefully though there's a section of their support who are still patriotic/smart enough to recognise that, irrespective of their misgivings about the main parties, lending their vote to fifth columnists, who would undermine our country without a second thought, would be catastrophic.

This story? Nothing to do with HMOs. Just an ordinary house to be run for two children in care (rather than in a large "children's home" or fostered). The councillors are all "in loco parentis" - to want the best for children in care - but entitled to refuse if the setting is inappropriate. (But not e.g. because of the number of staff cars - the house could have 4 adults each with a car anyway.) The private care provider can appeal.

The Northern Echo didn't turn it down, the Reform-controlled committee did. (Reform will have either 7 or 8 out of the 12 members.) Planning committees aren't supposed to be political but it would be interesting to see the voting. But the Police & Crime Commissioner who objected is Labour - and I would have thought it was for the Police, not the Commissioner, to comment on such an application.

My main point was councillor Roddiss previously campaigning to stop houses being built in Crook and now saying that there aren't enough for local people.

I do think and hope that reform are finished after this.

Their voters will have seen Russian spy ships off our coast, and now they see Reform politicians being jailed for collusion with Russia.

Great news.
