Yet again Arsenal get a penalty and opposition player sent off as last man..
So why didnt we get the same decision against leicester.??

I have still to hear a valid reason as to why the leicester player didnt walk..

because its us, simple as that.its no good beating about the bush, we are being cheated on a regular basis.the do gooders will come on and say we are paraniod but there are too many examples over too many games for it to be anything else.can anyone see our player getting away with ratboy's antics? no neither can i.

Re: Refs and consistency..

The goalscoring opportunity rule and handball are two of the things I moan about most. The intention for the goalscoring opportunity is to punish the players cynically cheating by deliberately bringing someone down or blatant handball. A lot of fouls are just players beaten by skill or being slightly late. Not sending off's for me. Handball is even worse these days. The rules and intention are quite simple I think. Only the goalkeeper can handle in the area and no one outside the area. However most of us are fortunate to have two arms and they are not detachable. If the ball hits a players arm that's not handball. It's only handball if a player deliberately puts his arm in the way. I wouldn't even give a penalty if a player put his hands up to protect his face ( fine him for cowardice maybe ) but protecting your face is not an attempt to pick the ball up or gain an advantage.

Re: Refs and consistency..

Personally I would like to see the clear goal scoring opportunity rule replaced with the old professional foul rule. That way the Terry sending off would have stood, Song would have been sent of for his attempt to hack Tevez (I think) in half during the first arse game and the neither the Leicester player, nor Boyatta for that matter, would have been sent off for what were no more than attempts to win the ball. As for handball why do we not see more strikers booked for it (Yes I do mean you Bent) I thought a deliberate handball was an automatic yellow these days, unless you play for arse and have already been booked of course.

Re: Refs and consistency..

Opportunity doesn't represent certainty but it doesn't matter. If a player is clean through it is generally a goal scoring oppurtunity because without intervention 9/10 he would score. The Leicester player brought Tevez down, had he not of done he could and probably would of scored there was no-one else but the goalkeeper.

He should of walked the same way Boyata should of walked against Arsenal, they would no doubt of scored had he not intervened with a foul. The rule is a goalscoring oppurtunity which was prevented by a foul, in that situation it has to be a red everytime, the Leicester bloke brought Carlos down and it was a foul, there was no-one else around and he was in the box so it has to be a red, no questions.

What makes me laugh more is didn't Vieira get booked for their penalty? Don't recall their player getting booked after the foul on Carlos.

Failed to give West Brom a clear penalty, instead awarded free kick on the edge of the penalty area.

The officials in the Prem are piss poor.

A bit late that was 5 hours ago! Was shocking decision though with him looking straight at the foul
