I am not sure. It shouldn't have to be shown, but it is a reality nonetheless. If it really takes images like this to kick people up the arse then I think it should be shown.

That photo is harrowing.
The whole refugee crisis is a tragic situation, and our government's response so far has been disgraceful.
it's a thread about one image.... a sad imageWhy not mate? I was just expressing my anger at people who put their so called country they've "died" for before dying men, woman and children. Just think about being in their shoes.
And this is not to any of you here, it's just an opinion
The land they left..Turkey ..was safer than putting the poor little kid in that dingy, his family could have applied for political asylum there, they would have been perfectly safe and the kid and his elder Brother would still be aliveYeah changed that now. Sorry for the typo. My Mrs has just seen it and she started to well up she then went upstairs and gave our little lad a kiss. When 16 people think its safer to cross the sea in a dingy made for 4 rather than stay on land then something is very wrong

No one is mentioning the whys and wherefores or about immigrants
This is beyond that
Not dictating anything...I just think a little boy fleeing war and drowning is sad.....not about immigrants Just my opinionTo be fair, the Op did go into 'this is a shit unfair world' stuff.. You can't dictate that all posts be about the 1 image.
What is shocking about some people who get into rickety old boats to cross a large sea getting drowned?
It is what anyone would expect to happen, hardly a shock.
I'm satisfied with Cameron's hard line approach.
Each to their own. Personally, I'm appalled by Cameron's hard line approach.

Why can't countries like Poland, Romania and Bulgaria can't take loads of refugees?
After all, there must be a lot of space for them there after plenty of their inhabitants emigrated to other parts of the EU.
And as we are told immigrants are an economic benefit it'd make sense for poorer countries like those to take as many as they can get, instead of richer countries like the UK and Germany using them to get even richer.
My thoughts are that these are exceptional circumstances in exceptional times and we need to do something on both fronts. The first thing we really have to do is take care of these poor people however we can easing their burden and processing them into our country and other countries in the world.then we really do need to address the problem or at least genuinely try to so that these people can go home safely to a country that has a fighting chance for peace.
The thoughts of immigration should be put to one side for this particular instance and the world as a whole should make it happen for these poor people.
Personally i'v omly heard Media/politician types who disagree with him, everyone who's mentioned it to me Today agree with himEach to their own. Personally, I'm appalled by Cameron's hard line approach.
trouble is which ones are the nice deserving just trying to escape ISIS' refugees.....and which ones are the infiltrating murderous muslim jihadist scum?
