i think it would have been a mainstream artist to have been played on radio.im thinking it was a minor hit for ken boothe or someone of that ilk..bloody annoying not knowing it lol

Not much to go on, and after 6 hours racking me brains i'm still no nearer to finding this tune.
Chuck Berry has an album called something like 'the many sides of ...' that has most of his hits on but done in different styles to the originals..
You can find reggae versions of most mainstream/popular tunes. My faves are the re-workings of xmas songs. It's the only time any of 'em sound half decent.
