You'd expect him to feel it a bit more given that he grew up at the club. Tbf though Saints relegation isn't some final day heartbreak and they've looked gone for a while now so all have had time to process it.

Southampton sacked Hasenhüttl after he had taken only 12 points from the first 15 games. From the subsequent 21 games, they have taken 12 points.

Most of Southampton's players put in their best performances of the season against us in an ultimately meaningless League Cup game. Maybe if they'd shown a bit more of that fight in the league then they wouldn't be leaving it.

Feel sorry for Lavia but he'll land on his feet, and Bazunu as he's had an absolute nightmare time of it down there, but I'm sure he can recover.
