And if I changed the word ‘God‘ to ‘essence‘ and suggested that we are all joined in essence and that it’s nature is the beauty and majesty and abundance you speak of? That compassion and solidarity are true to our nature and it’s when we decide/learn to be out of tune with this nature that a crazy world is made? Maybe the suffering is rooted in a choice not for abundance but for lack. And that IS the story of ‘the fall?’I never say fuck reigion. I lament the negative outcome of adhering to its numerous incantations. I lament the rejection of rationality that is parked when people believe in a book so littered by horror and fantasy, not to mention clear mistakes about how the universe began. There are still so many things we do not undersrand about this and indeed, may never solve, but to out god in that gap isn't intelligenct. It denudes intelligence. I can and do get all misty eyed at the majesty of the universe, of the abundance and beauty of life. At the good side of people and himanity. Our compassion and solidarity. The diference is i dont give the credit to any manmade god.
I remember the day when my second son was in hospital for a hernia fixing as a baby. When he was ready to come home we went to get him and he had been put onto a ward that had little kids with cancer. I saw them and the anguish etched on the faces of their parents. I vowed that even if someone conclusively proved god existed, I would never worship such an absolute **** who would visit such agony on innocent children and their parents.
And if youre reading this Jesus, you are a ****.
You mean because the callers are "low-hanging fruit"?The equivalent of talksport.
Shouty no nothing hosts, moronic callers ringing in.You mean because the callers are "low-hanging fruit"?
I disagree. I think he makes valid points and asks the right questions. Most of the callers ARE moronic...the "low hanging fruit" as they say...but that's not the fault of the show.Shouty no nothing hosts, moronic callers ringing in.
That bald Matt fella is terrible.
I’ve seen Matt Dillahunty a fair few times before. He’s overly aggressive, loses his temper and doesn’t understand the Bible, certainly New Testament.I disagree. The only problem with the phone in show is that it's the same questions and answers from 10 years ago.
And neither do most of the Christians that call in. He has a short temper but listening to how theists avoid answering certain questions and repeat the same old shite, I'm glad he loses it with them.. I would too.I’ve seen Matt Dillahunty a fair few times before. He’s overly aggressive, loses his temper and doesn’t understand the Bible, certainly New Testament.
