This is what the concourse now looks like behind block 242 EL2. Taken at half time.
First photo shows that the food concession, ladies toilets & bar have all gone on the left hand side to locate the new sports bar. Grey wall on the right hand side is where the ladies toilets have been relocated to between the 2 sets of stairs leading to the seats. Concourse a lot narrower as a result of the changes. Collection point not open so not sure how that works.
Second photo shows the queues for the new bar for us plebs where the bookies used to be. I think it may do food too but didn’t bother trying to use it given the queues which were completely blocking access to & from other areas. Loads complaining about the time taken to get served. Obviously made worse being the first game & probably new staff.
Match day experience of catching up with mates over a beer pre-match & at half time greatly reduced. Seems inevitable that block 242 will go the same way in the near future & we’ll be relocated. Will be gutted having sat in there since the move from Maine Road.
