Remaining Difficult Fixtures(City and United)

I have just been told by my rag father that we should remember 68.

They had played most if not all the other top teams away and then fucked it at home.

And my own Rag father, who also saw them in the sixties, doesn't think there's anything in it. Neither do I. IF we went ahead of them, that's a different question, of course.

As difficult as our games are that can sometimes play to our advantage. Last season it was us trying to shake them off and every great result from them Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea away to name a few stoked the pressure up till we almost threw it away. Just look what happened when the pressure was off when we were 8 points behind. Our result last week twinned with them conceding a last minute equaliser this week will only be making them more nervous. We haven't played well and they've had a cracking start but we're within spitting distance.

Hehe i think some blues need to take a leaf out of their books a-la plenty of matches to go, anything can happen mentality.

Is your dad like mine and more relaxed about footy now ? mine is as he said the last 20 years have satiated his football wants and desires (the ****)

I'll be happy if we're still 5 points (or less) behind at the time we play them again. After that the fixtures are in our favour.

Stoke away is one of the worst places to go simply because the fans put off the players by loud chanting but weve already got a draw there so for united it could be a nightmare

Theres not many teams that can beat united at the minute

For Us we need to keep winning and ignore the red scum till april comes if we keep looking at scum results then it could put players morale down if we dropped points

Last year at arsenal put everyones morale down until united messed up meaning we had the hope and it paid off

So I would say keep winning and keep the good form up and keep the players motivated and morale which I think is important to a successful season

Spot on jay
Its all about keeping within 5 points of them up until the derby game.

An injury to RVP and the picture changes totally. After an injury plagued career, he's been injury free for the best part of 18 months, and, given his history, that can't last - hopefully.
