Remembrance Sunday Tribute (Sky Sports)

I know many Blues have seen this but if not I'm posting a link to a Sky Sports feature I've been involved with. I provided the articles, most of the letters, the research etc. for both Manchester clubs in this feature. Sky had to get a balance of course and I am delighted with the way they've produced this. Agree that the club should have announced this over the tannoy, explaining the format - as they did before the Southampton game when people started to applaud. A lot of the civilian public have no idea how these things work unfortunately, was a bit disappointed myself when people broke out into applause after the last post.

It should be put on all the advertising boards "KEEP YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS!".

Some people feel the need to clap everything/anything without engaging their brain to think if it is appropriate.

The last post is a sombre, commemorative event. A nano-second's thought should be enough to realise it is not the moment for applause.

Anyone watched the tunnel cam on the city site?

Absolutely shocking that it got shown like that, written across the screen " a REEF of poppies is laid...."

a REEF.

What idiot honestly thinks you spell it like that? How did it go unnoticed by the people in charge who check this stuff.

I took a pic of the screen, but since photobucket stopped linking i don't know how to do pics, but go see for yourself :(

edit to add - just watched it on the city site and they've took all the wording off now, so they must've finally noticed. Watched it earlier on the youtube city channel through the tv and it was on there, still got the photo, but at least the wording has gone, still shocking that idiots can't spell when it's something like this.

The world is awash with virtue signallers these days. The louder and more vigorously you clap the more virtuous you are.

If you stand there with your head bowed paying your respects in a silent dignified manner nobody will notice what a good person you are.

Meant to say what a stunning clip Gary... my Great Uncle died 100 years ago on the 8th of November, my sister went out to France in the summer to see his war grave and had researched so much the last few years she said the week she spent travelling around the region was the most moving thing she'd ever done.

Sorry btw if anyone is offended at me going on about spelling - i just felt strongly that city should not have got something as meaningful as a wreath for the armistice spelt as "reef" on an official club video.
