Bernstein won't divert from existing processes. No way.

It's another area where Rugby Union is so superior to footy.

They have a citing commissioner who would give him a 3 match ban.

Forwards diving / gamesmanship has always been part of part of it.

FHL was expert at it. He got the penalty, stood up and scored the goal.

Exploring the boundaries of the rules has always been part of sport and its same in any team sport.

However pro-scum bias on the field and in the media is beyond a joke now.

In the season that Franny scored the record number of penalties, only four were awarded for fouls on him.

I don't really think you can make a big comparison with the Ben Thatcher incedent. For a start, didn't Mendes need oxygen after what Thatcher did? The consequences of that could have been far more serious than what Rooney did.

I seem to recollect that Wyn Davies was the most fouled player in the penalty area,that season !!
