As he hasn't booked/sent off Rooney I'm sure the FA can take action

providing he says he didn't see the incident but would have given potato head a red card if he had. if he says (or is told to say) that he did see the incident and dealt with it at the time the matter will be closed.

remember adebayor against arsenal at coms last season? he was 2 or 3 yards away from the van persie incident & looking straight at it. he didn't even give a foul. despite this he later said he hadn't seen anything but would have red carded ade if he had. he booked ade for his goal celebration but when the fa wanted to charge ade he said he didn't book him for inciting the arse fans but for timewasting. this was despite ade's celebration lasting exactly 30 seconds which is less than the average goal celebration but it allowed the fa to fuck ade over a second time.

That's the only one i dont have a problem with, was a red card regardless of how long into the game it was.

me neither but why does he stick rigidly to the letter of the law with players of some teams & take no action against players of certain others? consistency would be a good start.

So if Clattenburg has any credibility left he will watch the replay and say he didn't see the forearm smash at the time but would have sent him off had he seen it in his match report.

If saw it then absolute minimum should have been yellow,the fact that nowt was given is proof that he didnt see it..

he was sacked as an elite referee in 2008 because of "issues relating to his private business affairs" but on appeal this was commuted to an 8 month suspension. he was suspended for almost all of the 2008-09 season & only returned for the last game of the season - city v bolton.

but the "i saw the incident & dealt with it at the time" lie enabled tranny to get away with kicking out at 3 opponents a couple of seasons ago. it's also enabled vidic to get away with several deliberate elbows & a slap/punch in the face over the last year or so.

i seen this! there was an earlier challenge from the ginger git aswel which also went unnoticed, just a telling off.

on the rooney challenge, the replay was the camera from the gods and the commentators said there was barely any contact! how they could have seen that i dont know. it looked like ants! funny how they cant show that in 3d slowmotion like every other video of the rag tw@s!
