Return of Supporters

Anyone know why City have restrictions on them as to whom can apply for tickets, yet the same doesn't apply to Spurs, if Spurs can have fans from around the country why can't City?

Travel restrictions more likely mean tha city are advised to lay on travel than allow fans to just go down themselves, most spurs ST holders will be from London and the home counties so makes sense.

As for scottish berts, well you cannot travel from scotland to london yet anyway can you?

Where’s the hiding behind secrecy?

I see very few comments about tickets on this forum that aren’t motivated by self interest. Maybe your views are different.

There’s going to be more demand than supply and that’s if the Covid conditions allow up to 10k Blues in the ground. The maths dictate that a lot of us won’t get tickets but we’ve seen more success in the last decade than most of us could dream of. No end of consultations will change the maths.
I was referring to the latter part of the sentence "Almost certainly a ballot but we're still discussing some key details. don't really want to say any more than that."
I agree with you, self-interest tends to motivate many ticket discussions.
Personally, I'm disappointed that I'm excluded from the Carabao Cup Final as I now live in the Midlands even though I have enough points (whereas spurs fans can travel from anywhere). Would support a general ballot for the Everton game.

I was also a senior union rep. And we negotiated with the company, reported back to our committee then reported back to our members once we had something to report. I can tell you what we want, which is the maximum number of season card holders to get tickets, with some priority for higher points. But we're not objecting to the ballot principle. Whether that's what we'll get is another matter.
I used to prefer getting a mandate from members ahead of negotiations, but I agree with your general point.
Personally I agree with a ballot for the Everton game.
As an exiled blue living in the Midlands I'm disappointed I've been excluded from League Cup Final tickets even though I have enough points (whereas spurs fans can travel from anywhere). Interestingly, my wife comes from Kent but that area was allowed to apply for tickets even though the distance to Wembley is farther than from my home in the Midlands. It's bizarre.

Why?
I have traveled like you ! the length and breadth of this country for 40+ years and taken my son with me for the last 10 years (however he can’t have a ticket as he’s only 17)

Spent literally thousands and thousands taken days off afternoons off getting home from places like Paris and Swansea at 3-00am and back in work at 7-30am

So someone with 1000 points who just joined the cup scheme last season gets one before me or you
Sorry
It needs a pecking order unfortunately
Yeah I understand your point of view, I simply have a different one.
Sorry for your son - that's got to hurt.
Hope we all enjoy the day as well as we can, and of course get the result

Absolute fucking joke.

I can't buy a ticket but my bro who I go to matches with has just purchased.

I don't qualify because Oxfordshire is not classed as Home Counties. Bucks counts and I work there (when not WFH!) and my place of work is further from Wembley than home is. There are loads of places in the Home Counties further away than where we live.

They still have some of the 250 tickets left. Gutted, 1970 was last time I missed a City appearance at Wembley that tickets were on sale to supporters for.

Train all gone. I qualified Thursday but my mate didn't qualify until 11 today. Not going on the coach and can't see the rest selling out with only a coach option

I dunno, why can spurs fans buy in groups of six?

I am sure consultations with the relevant authorities and BTP have come to the conclusion that most city fans will travel down by train/coach from the alloted areas and so the safest way is through the club and q centrap focal departure point which is Manchester, hence the club must take measures to limit travel to Mcr also by limiting post codes.

Unfair? Yes, but are we in strange times? Yes

I cannot see why someone from the midlands or cumbria etc cannot get tickets and make their own arrangements to drive down, I can understand scotish blues as they have trabel restrictions in place.

Coach, urghhh. I don't qualify to buy until this afternoon so even with just a coach option I'll expect they'll be gone by then.
