Return of Supporters

When we thought we'd get back to games before the end of the season, that would definitely have been by ballot. But the club felt it was only fair to rewards points holders on the cup scheme for this game. We (City Matters) had been pressing the club to give some priority to the highest points holders even in a ballot so we're fully behind the club's move to sell tickets for the League Cup final purely on points.
Hi Prestwich.
It's been a really difficult call for us all.
I have my ticket, and train travel, which I'm thankful for.
Personally though:
I've had a season ticket for over 20 years
I've been to grounds I never thought I would in England - that was an eye opener lol
I've been to grounds I never thought I would in Europe
I've been lucky financially - which is key here.
I do believe, in this instance, that a ballot would have been fairer

Very few tickets sold today its quite amazing, I thought they would have gone but looks like very few want to go, I know its a bit of a faff but its a Cup final, its City, it will be different but am going to support our club.

I have just been on the web site and am shocked the tickets have not been snapped up. Maybe the process of getting to the game is the deciding factor. I have been trying to use the links provided from the club to find my local "rapid lateral flow test site" in Preston. I have not managed to establish where the test site is located or how to book it.

Why do you think it would have been fairer? Every away game including semis and finals where demand exceeds supply has gone via points, why should this be different?

To be honest, I don’t think there’s more than 15,000 tops on the League Cup scheme and it only went down to 16,500 points today. Plenty of regular fans on high points who would normally be all over this - me for one - aren’t bothering but at least that allows others on lower points to get a ticket if they fancy going. Those remaining tickets will shift over the weekend IMO

I googled it, and it sends you to a government site, then it should give you the closest one to your post code, you can book a day and time, but a lot are walk in, but some don't open on a Saturday so be careful as you need to get one after 13:30 on the Saturday before the game, the club have also said they will be giving more details ?.

The link eventually takes you to a Lancashire web site but no details of where of how to book it. Getting it done on Saturday afternoon is going to be very difficult.

If I’m not mistaken , I thought you could just turn up to these sites without booking?

Someone said there were 800 left last night, we still have over 700 tonight, am not certain about these figures, but yes it should give some on lower points a good chance.
