As for eligibility, there's an argument for lots of different ways to do it. They tried to do something fair, but I would have restricted it to those with attendance to a minimum x number of games over the last y seasons for 9500 tickets and then another ballot for, say, 500 tickets for anybody not eligible above.

I get some people would like it to at least be recognised that they have been unsuccessful but the net result is still the same: no ticket. At least you are now in no doubt as to how much the club values your support.

What I don’t get is why there is even a debate on eligibility. Loyalty first and tickets distributed as per previous criteria for many years. Zero complaints.

If the underlying points system is becoming a problem, either by being abused or blocking new blood, then this game - trophy lift/Sergio’s last game/ pandemic is absolutely not the game to start pissing about.

Start next season making all away games ballot only. Announce it now, give the reasons why and then people can get their head round it. The loyal fans may be up in arms but the club seems to want to break this for some reason.

Now I’ve been screwed over in the ballot for Everton are we going back to loyalty points system for Porto so I get screwed over twice?
 
Don't get the logic of Citizens being allowed in the ballot.
A season ticket membership is effectively a contract between you and the club. They provide the seat, you pay your money whether you actually turn up or not.

Sure they can't give every ST a place from the ballot due to restrictions but why give tickets to Citizens at the expense of ST holders.

Gutted not to be going.
 
Why didn't City just say anybody who has been fortunate to get a ticket in the ballot will be notified by 6pm and if you haven't received an email by that time then you have been unlucky.
I think what's pissed off most blues is that we didn't have a clue what time they were notifying the lucky ones and that lots of us spent ages checking our emails in the hope we would be lucky.
I didn't get a ticket and I'm gutted but that's the luck of the draw.

If your email address was up to date on the website and you've checked your spam folder then sadly it looks as if you missed out.

Not even received email so if you have one saying in reserve hang fire

If no email then fuck your loyalty up your arse with the rest of us
 
The site won’t allow me to buy a ticket as when I choose one it says I’m over 65 but it doesn’t give me an option for over 65 tickets.

Exactly. There's so many ways they could have notified us all, they could even have just added a yes or no kind of thing on our online accounts that we could have checked ourselves.
