Return of Supporters

What you've written sounds unquestionably fair, but it isn't.

If they adopted what you're suggesting then the same people, barring the intervention of the grim reaper, would be at the front of the queue for everything all the time. This would act as a disincentive for others to even bother. When your method has been used in the past I know for a fact that it does.

And that's why the club don't use it.
The club do use it for every single away game, cup semi finals and finals.

I fully understand that they want to spread the tickets but if yer talk of 'disincentives' what, under the present arrangements, would encourage those who have coughed up season after season to continue to fork out their hard earned. There isn't a 'fair' way of doing this that would meet with the approval of every group, but the ability for a 'johnny-come-lately' to leapfrog those who've been turning up for decades in fair weather and foul, and seen some of the grimmest football that MCFC have offered their fans just sticks a bit when you attempt to swallow it.

Put simply, the club believes that....

"those who have coughed up season after season.....turning up for decades in fair weather and foul, and seen some of the grimmest football that MCFC have offered"

Don't need encouraging.

Are you going to tell me they're wrong?

Our average crowd was 40k in Pearce's grimmest, last season. So even something like 85% of us hardy souls wouldn't get in to next Sunday's game.

We cough up season after season so we can be guaranteed our seats to watch the club we love for every league game and be first in the queue for other tickets over Cityzens members.

If people are talking about not renewing because they got an email 18 hours after someone who'd been successful in the ballot got one, then you need to have a good hard talk with yourself. Spend the money you would have spent on a ticket on some books, like The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck or How To Be Happy.
Or in your case How To Win Friends and Influence People.

Sorry to here, our problem is I can buy mine and I can put my son in the basket but it won't let me checkout because his number isn't there. Though his name and number are both there in friends and familly . Wouldn't mind if supporters services were contactable before the deadline, but they aren't which is nonsense.
Just had an email to tell me I’ve been unsuccessful, 3 hours after I bought my ticket.

Well, at least they informed us. Must have been reading all the flak on here!

I wonder how many of the Citizens supporters who have managed to get a ticket would of applied if it was a meaningless game without any presentation ?
Most of us, well those with a few hundred games in our history anyway.
