If you haven't had the two jabs come the Carabao Cup final then forget it.

That's one of the markers being proposed to the ruling bodies.

It means the average age will be on the high side!

Pathetic if they do that and discrimination against those who haven’t been offered it due to not being in the correct age bracket. All the low risk people have had to suffer for the past 12 months to protect those who are high risk, there is no way that things should be opened up just for the people who have been vaccinated whilst the younger, low risk people still can’t do anything.

I'd be uncomfortable said shithouse would be unknowingly infecting others or taking it to another country, or at least bringing it back with them.

The vaccine hasn’t been proven to stop transmission though has it? If you have had it then you won’t catch it so I personally wouldn’t see it as an issue.

If you have kids, would you be comfortable them going to school with kids who haven’t had the measles jab?

Discrimination throughout this whole pandemic, though, mate.

I lost my business because I wasn't entitled to furlough as a company director, about three million other freelancers or self-employed who were in the same boat.

People will undoubtedly continue to miss out where others won't.

He's doesn't know, just wait and see what happens.

Count me in with you TH. Seems we take all the risk and then feel no benefit. Zero income for 9 months - lived on savings - all gone now, start again from scratch the only option

Yes, think that’s far more likely, that the country of arrival will ask for immunisation certificate, same as they ask for things like yellow fever cert in some countries.
That will be implemented on UK citizens by other governments rather than our own though. Not sure where those immunised will get their certificate from though and whether we would need a different one for boosters adapted for other strains.
Completely agree mate, there is a precedent of sorts, vaccines for traveling to exotic places. Many you can’t get into without proof of yellow fever.
Personally I think evidence of vaccine or recent/immediate Covid test will be required for travel and any large scale congregation of people, at least until Covid levels and deaths provide society with the same numbers as ‘seasonal flu’

Thats terrible, its just awful whats happened the last 12 months.
I'v lost my mind with worry, been to hell and back the last year

and i was one of the lucky ones
me and my mrs both worked throughout the pandemic scared to shit we would catch it
pass it on to our nipper
both of us on band 2 nhs,£9.20 per hour and her moved onto ITU CCU since march 2020

Of course mate, but would you feel comfortable someone who refused the vaccine sitting next to you on a plane?

Even if you were, others on the plane would have something to say about it, as would the destinations receiving that plane load.
But if you've personally had the vaccine what's the issue for you?

The jab doesn't prevent you from catching it, it lessens the likelihood of you ending up in hospital or dying from it.

Evidence of transmission remains unclear, so until which time that can be established, it would be foolhardy for anybody travelling abroad, irrespective of the jab.

I do have kids and would also be uncomfortable upon learning such with regards kids without their measles jab.

Ignorance shouldn't be bliss. How many kids or others will have become unwell as a result of that decision not to vaccinate their child against measles- we would never know.

What we do know is that Covid is the here and now has killed 2.3m in 12 months.

Hi TH - yes I have heard that also, to be honest I think it's absolutely disgraceful that this is the way things will go in the next few months on vaccine passports. Surely this discriminates and violates against human rights?
What happens in the future if some city fans don't want the vaccine but want to watch the games?
Anyway i won't hijack the thread any longer.
Human rights works both ways.

And thank you for all your selfless work. As I say, is it remotely fair you are on fucking £9.20 with those risks and what you are doing for the greater good.

Is it fuck - people from all sections of society have already had it tough - some people can't lose sleep that not having had the jab yet will result in them not being allowed to go on holiday to Spain.

But if you've personally had the vaccine what's the issue for you?

I could possibly transmit it to somebody else, whether it be my own family or take it somewhere else. My kids won't have had the jab yet, either - why would I take the risk with them travelling, as I was responding to in this thread.

People making the pandemic a personal issue are missing the point, it HAS to be a collective effort. The more people who don't take up the jab, the longer this will last.

Blue44 that’s a dire situation you were placed, and I applaud you and your wife.
The impact generally on the nhs has been huge, but some individuals have borne a bigger slice, ITU being the biggest.
I hope when it’s all over, the right people get rewarded for their efforts and personal sacrifice.
