Returning to the office.

I'm lucky that being in the finance sector I can work from home. Don't think the business I'm at is keen to get staff back in which is great.

Productivity is up, sick leave is down, staff morale is up, no businesses in the local area (in proximity to the office) rely on our custom, businesses closer to our houses getting more of our custom.

I personally am eating healthier, going to the gym more, I'm happier, getting more work done and even staying on to do extra instead of rushing to get home before the traffic. Flexibility to do stuff before, at dinner and immediately after work.

Not sure why businesses would want to upset staff given the benefits each side receives.

Long may it continue.
Lucky to have a job that can be done by phone or computer, I haven't got the option, out providing fibre broadband to your premises and coming across all the fuck wits that are the general public

Don't get me wrong, I know I'm extremely lucky but I'm hoping it's the start of working practices beginning to change in this country. It has to start somewhere and then hopefully it has a knock on effect to the entire working population.

It’s not like that everywhere. I work in the Financial industry and the service from most of the companies we deal with daily (FTSE 100 size in some cases) has been absolutely atrocious on the whole. Productivity has most definitely gone down, but strangely when I read comments from the CEO’s from these companies, all in the garden is rosy and it’s all good. They are being fed a line I think and don’t know what is going on at shop floor level.

Work life balance is important but it’s also important that these companies deliver what their customers expect. The problem currently is that they are all as bad as each other so protected from mass exits to a degree as no one else is any better!

Well said.

Lost over 4 stone, been running like nobodies business.

Eating healthy, working still and not having to go through traffic.

A paycut lol. Your salary has fuck all to do with your commute.
Agreed. And the company are saving by being able to have a smaller office and spend less on electricity etc so if anything you should be paid more
