I watched this all day today thought it was very good very well done, tell you what, he didn't mind a ruck did he, right in the thick of it before they got him, very brave King.
Yeah killing his nephews was very brave.
Killing his nephews , if he did, makes him a c***t, but leading his men into battle, and fighting in the thick of it, while Henry tudor sat on a hill watching, makes him a brave king in my book.
Brave or silly.

You don't attack with your king. Like in chess.

Got to agree, I've enjoyed watching the programmes they've shown since Richard has been discovered. The two subjects I hated at school, science and history are now the only topics I'll watch on TV (other than Top Gear!) and wish I'd had listened more at school to both topics.

completely agree aha our culture and history is fascinating. its not really celebrated though. Any programs with medieval history on are great to watch !

how is it silly. The king or leader had to be there fighting with his soldiers. He would be a coward and we would have lost any battle without the king leading his men

And he would have won if the Stanleys had not thrown in their lot with the Tudors at the very last minute and charged in with 2,000 fresh troops, Lord Stanley actually put the crown on Henrys head after the battle

Celebrated? This is another place where I succumb to discomfort of the mind. Should we be celebrating old history? Or should we leaving it behind. A lot of it was horrid, how not to do things etc, although we had to come through it to be where we are now, so there are obviously things to be proud of. The wonders of hindsight.

I guess we should just be more selective of who we celebrate. Ricky 3's history is a mess. It's why I'm not a fan of waving the flag. Who and what are you waving it for?

It's like when people say "Don't forget where you come from.." - my instant reaction is Oh? You mean the place of where I arbitrarily became the progeny of my parents?

Meh. Confusing.

I agree though - it's fascinating. Culture especially. I don't really know what it is. It's feels like a label and I don't like those. Some people make you take your shoes off, some don't. Some offer you a brew, some don't. Just feels like people to me.

of course we should celebrate it and remember it. It made the country what it is today. Im not saying lets celebrate mass murderers or war conflicts, but we can remember it. We shouldn't leave any history behind, what about world war 2 should we just forget about that after a while ? those people richard the 3rd being an example contributed to englands history. You were born here so this is your countries history and culture. why not celebrate parts of it ? i dont see whats wrong with doing that.

Its seems like people are scared to either talk about or they just dont like it. If it was china or india or americas past then everyone would be amazed by it.

seems like a load of baloney , dig up a random car park oh look who put that there a squiggly spine skeleton ,of course its Richard 3rd bound to be
to address the subject of murdering the princes ,if he chose to take that course of action he would of had no compunction whatsoever ,as a child he moved a number of times himself to avoid a similar fate
