Richard Dunne

It's quite a thing that Dunney holds the record for most PL own-goals, and equal most PL sendings-off ... but also the record for most City POTS awards.

But at times it felt like the not-inconsiderable bulk of his body was the only thing standing between us and relegation.

This thing with the OG's is annoying tbh he got so many because more often than not he was throwing a wild desperate leg at a shot to try and keep it out, if he jogged back like AK then he wouldn't have half the OG's he has to his name.

From a pissed up lazy trainer to 4 POTS tells its own tale, so it is puzzling to see quite a few nay sayers in this thread tbh.

He is a blue legend.

Dunneys main problem was that he never quite knew which way we were kicking .....

he was never the 'graceful' type of footballer, but he was an honest player, and seemed to be a really decent guy.

The thing with Dunney is he was a good player pre-takeover, once that happened and greater quality players came flooding in he became a bad player. I liked him but when we started to control procession he became liability.

What happened post take over should never diminish the contribution he made to our club.
